I've been thinking about getting one of these for my US P bass for a while, the only place that sells it for a price I would pay is Thomann, but you've then got the £10 shipping fee and I don't really need anything else expensive enough to get it to the free shipping level.
Anyone have one fitted to their bass? Is it worth having? I'd be putting it on the A string to try and get rid of the weird rattling overtone noise. -
My wife will whinge regardless but when I do ask she says buy it, I do have 10 in the house currently, though I did have to appease her by changing the storage solution from a Hercules Rack to tiered stands.

Recently gone back to Rotosound flats, the SM77 Hybrid Gauge 100-40, put them on my G&L Trib M-2000, much easier for me to EQ than the NPS rounds I had on it.
Because the Rotos seem to have a good mid content and less harmonics they sounded great in a rock trio mix, plus the lighter gauge means they are similar in feel to standard gauge rounds (to me at least).

I do, (Dingwall ABZ) its already second hand over 10 years old, already has plenty of dings etc, like others have said no point in having it and not playing it.
I have been in that position many times before, when I got my US precision 10 years ago second hand it was mint, I debated selling it for a relic model but in the end it played so well I just accepted that it will (I'm very clumsy) not be mint for long and they are meant to be played.

Fishman Platinum Stage - I use it for rehearsals when I don't have the time or energy to lug a rig. Simple but clean, EQ, low cut options, built in boost, can run on battery and clip on your belt if needed.

I use a Puma 900 with a Bareface Super Twin or a Schroeder 12PL, I did have some trouble at one point but I think that was down to a bad speakon cable/pub electrics not 100% sure.
Love it, super clean and no hope of running out of volume!

As with all your builds I've followed @JapanAxe I'm not technically minded enough to understand all the diagrams and wiring etc and don't have the attention span to build something like this myself, but I really enjoy what goes into it and seeing everything come together.

The first bass I ever played was a '77 Precision, learnt to play on a jazz style Peavey (Milestone III) but other than that I've never really got on with the Jazz nut width or sound, once I got hold of a P bass and put some flats on, that was the sound that I enjoyed most and continue to enjoy, though I ended up with a Dingwall ABZ middle of last year and have gigged with it 99% of the time since, so not sure what happened there..

I had a set of their flats on a P bass for 5 years before they developed issues, loved the sound straight out of the pack, Picato is what I had heard/read too.

Quick update to this, very pleased with it, well worth the price (though only having used it once) I couldn't work out initially why I wasn't getting much volume, then numb nuts finally realised you need clean level too!

I'd recommend the Rodenberg LDP or LDP Deluxe, it has a "Deep" switch which is useful, I bring it in and out dependent on the song and or band line up.

I Want You Back - Jackson 5, one of my favourites but as hard as I tried, slowing it down bit by bit etc, I could never get it up to the speed of the track..

Just found a nice demo on YouTube by JoBass, that sounds very very good, even without the silly low price!
Where did you get yours from?
Here's the link for reference...
Amazon have started stocking them, so I ordered it from there, other than that I could only find them on Thomann.

I put one on a parts bass I got to replace a fender high mass unit, no problem at all, no issues with quality, like @nick I prefer the threaded saddles and it also reduced the weight of the bass a fair bit which was nice!

I wanted a cheap envelope filter to play around with when it takes my fancy, I settled on the Flamma FC11 at £26 I was really impressed with the quality, sound, easy of use, yeah its a mini pedal but if you're ever in the same position as me I would recommend it.

I've used one as a headphone amp for a long while, nothing to write home about especially IMHO but does the job and works well as a DI in a pinch.

I use a TecAmp Puma 900 which is the same amp just branded differently, I still use a HPF (in an analog preamp) in front of it and find it helpful.

I mean, that's just £20 for goodness sake, I'd be hard pushed to buy some hinges and velcro for that...
I use a version of this (also branded Stagg and Ortega) at every gig and rehearsal, Though I've not put my BF Super Twin on one yet 😂

I've used them in the past for pedals, no problem at all and arrived quickly, I have a quick nose around to see what they have in now and then.

Done, fingers crossed for your research and dissertation.

Great Eastern Effects XO seems to be another option.

It might not be what you're looking for specifically but I've recently started using a Boss LS-2 so that I can blend a drive signal and a clean signal together as I found having the drive in the normal lost too much clarity.
Might be worth a try as they are fairly easy to pick up on the second hand market.
There is also the EHX Tri Parallel Mixer, I've not used this myself though.

I've entered two of the Bass Bros competitions, sadly didn't win either of them but I keep an eye on what comes up.
