1. I think an adjustable HPF is essential for a cab with a big low end. I'm not sure if the slope of the shelf needs adjusted, just the ability to move the cutoff frequency and db of cut. It just needs to be a steep cutoff in the first place. I use the one built into the Zoom B3 and MS60 pedals. It's in there under the Fishman Preamp emulator - Ac Bs Pre. Works exactly the same as the Fishman. Plonk one in the front of the signal chain, leave all other EQ alone before adjusting, find the sweet spot where the signal sounds right/bassy enough but removes any low end woof/boom from the sound, and then you can tweak the rest of the EQ to your liking. That's how I use it with the Fearless stuff anyway. The F112 has a huge low end, arguably more than what is needed for most gigs. Which begs the question...why carry a cab with that much low end, only to have to remove it with EQ? lol
2. Cough. Wow. I own one already, but damn, this is gorgeous. GLWTS

10. Yep. It's sweet. I'd meant to say, I am open to offers. I can only give a couple of answers...yes or no.
11. If there's any issues with the Flickr link, please let me know. Works fine for me but sometimes Flickr stuff has been temperamental for others.
12. Hi all Trimming the herd down. Up for sale is my super duper whizzbanging Modulus Q5 with FretFx side LEDs. I've played and gigged this a lot, but now need the cash. I love this bass. Made in 2001. 24 frets, 35" scale, 17.5mm spacing at the bridge, though this is adjustable. Hipshot 'A' Bridge; Modulus/Gotoh GB350 tuners. Dunlop Straploks. Carbon fibre neck with truss rod. 9.5 pounds on the bathroom scales. Electronics package is EMG 40DC pickups wired up to 18v John East U-Retro preamp. Absolutely killer; the bass boost on this gets insane if you want it to and huge output from the preamp. Controls are bass/treble, mid with variable mid, pickup pan, and volume. 'Bright' pull switch on the treble pot. Many many varied tones; I've used it on many styles of gig. Slap is awesome, as you'd expect. I fitted blue FretFx side LEDs (https://fretfx.com/) which is a completely removable mod with no permanent effects. It turns on by flipping the battery in the battery compartment behind the headstock around and off by reversing the battery again. Made it easier for me in dark rooms. I took a couple of pics with the system off and on to show what it looks like; kind of awkward, but you'll get the idea. Setup is medium to low; I imagine others might want to raise it, but I play with a light touch. D'Addario XL Nickels. I've taken a ton of photos to show the quilt pattern and colour. There are two small dings on the front; one just south of the stacked electronics pots, and another just south of the end of the fretboard. These are shown in pics. Small. The case has been around a lot, and has quite a few cracks and dings. Latches work perfectly and it functions fine, but it's had plenty of use. Price is[s] £2000 + shipping.[/s] Price drop - £1800 + shipping. I'll ship insured and tracked anywhere. No trades, thanks kindly. NOW SOLD. Couple of pics here as taster, but the Flickr link shows a lot more in all the high res glory: https://flic.kr/s/aHsm4dnYjw SOLD.
13. The cabs look very interesting. Great looking drivers...though I think there might be a dip in output in the 1x12" cab (3012LF driver) before it crosses over into the horn's usable frequency range....so probably not quite as 'full range' as e.g. Fearless F112 or Barefaced Big Baby. But still, a cab with a little natural voicing (??cut in output around 2k ish) might suit a lot of people. I'm just speculating, of course, based on the info Eminence gives on their website about the drivers used....looks like a pretty impressive package overall. Must. Not. Sell. Puma. 900. No. Need.
