Hey all Since I have a fully working Wal-ish Mark 2 bass after all my YouTube adventures, I’m selling off the Mark 1 Wal-ish bass. Well, most of it, since I’ve used the neck somewhere else for a project. So I guess there are 2 ways to do this. The first way is I sell everything here as a unit, and someone gets a bargain for the loaded body. Stick a neck and strings on, you’re good to go. A fretless neck would be ideal for this. The second way is that folks want different bits of it and I part it out as people ask for them. I’d update the thread as we go, in that case. I don’t mind which way it sorts itself out. The body is an alder MIM Fender Precision Bass with a custom black pickguard. Fully loaded with all parts, it weighs 3.17kg. Unloaded of the parts apart from the pick guard, it weighs 2.52kg. The loaded body has the Turner SPSC multicoil pickups with parallel, single coil, and series switching for both pickups. These are hooked up to the newest Lusithand Double NFP Preamp Mark 2 and loaded with the Lusithand Knobs. The pickups are placed where Wal Mk1 pickups sit. These bridge is an aluminium Hipshot A bridge, and the body has a battery box and Dunlop Straplocks. These are of course all premium parts. Cost for the fully loaded body - £469. Shipping is additional to this. This is a great deal for someone, the cost of parts and work to get something like this is obviously much higher. ————— The other way is for the individual parts to be sold off as folks ask for them. This will mean the pickups need rewired to the switches etc as they don’t all come out whole. 1. I've been trying out strings lately on a 'kick'. Cut these and put them on my Precision for 10 mins. They are not for me. Maybe they're for you, though. They feel great but I'm basically a lover of steel roundwounds... as it turns out. I've included the standard blurb below. It’s for increasing mass of headstock to help shift dead spots. Some people use it to try and increase sustain, but for me, it dealt with a dead spot.

Hey all So here's another unique preamp. If you're looking at this, you probably know what it is already - a filter-based preamp. I've documented the sound of this well over at my Youtube channel, and perhaps some might be familiar with it through that. One video showcasing it is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAMnqz6Uoic&t=85s It can be used with any type of pickup, unlike the 'Special' version. Since I've now upgraded to the Mark 2 version of this preamp, I don't need the Mark 1 version anymore. This version doesn't have a pick attack/treble boost switch or variable Q filters of the Mark 2, though it remains excellent nonetheless. It has slightly wider frequency ranges for the pickups as a result. I've copied the original sales blurb for ease: 'The Double NFP is an onboard bass preamp. Unlike common EQ/Preamps, the Double NFP allows you to completely change the character sound of your pickups by shifting its signature resonant peak. This, plus the ability to actively mix them, gives you a full new level of exciting tones not available on regular EQ preamps. The Double NFP is a filter-based preamp alike the ones seen on basses like Alembic and Wal basses. It features one filter per pickup, offering more tone-shaping options, that are actively mixed through the pan/blend potentiometer and into a Master volume potentiometer. Being a low pass filter, it lets all bass frequencies pass through up to 4Khz where it starts cutting. The cutoff point has a resonant peak that can be boosted by pulling up the potentiometer. Each Filter potentiometer also allows you to sweep the cutoff point(resonant peak) within a range of 150Hz to 4 khz.
