  2. I couldn't agree more, they are lovely things.
  3. Due to some recent changes at casa Syncro, I'm going to be selling a few basses as the proceeds are required elsewhere. First up is this stunning USA Lakland Joe Osborne bass from 2002. These are legendary for nailing the early 60's Fender feel, and this one is no exception. The necks are sublime. The bass has been extensively gigged in its time and has picked up some bumps and scrapes along the way. This only adds to the appeal of the instrument IMO, and it really feels like a vintage bass. The Candy Apple red paint is really deep and rich in the flesh, and it looks very striking on stage. Needless to say it sounds incredible. Why spend double on a Fender Custom Shop Jazz? Collection from Margate or I may be able to meet somewhere mutually convenient. I can package the bass up safely if you'd like to arrange a courier.
  4. Thanks, I think it'd be hard to beat in terms of value. I believe the builders guitars start around the £2k mark.
  5. Bergantino HDN112 up for grabs. This cab sounds great, is compact and lightweight and is a very capable one cab solution. It has been gigged but is in good condition and works perfectly. Manufacturers info - HDN112 ‘High-Definition Neo’ 1-12” & Tweeter Bass Guitar LoudspeakerThe Bergantino Audio Systems HDN series lightweight speaker cabinets retain the great Bergantino Audio sound and give you the weight savings but not at the expense of tone and performance. These are the finest lightweight speaker cabinets made. The precision tuned cabinet architecture and the enclosures are built with the highest quality lightweight Italian poplar plywood (with Baltic birch baffle boards) selected to our demanding specifications. This lightweight cabinet material helps reduce the overall cabinet weight. The exterior of these speaker cabinets are finished in a durable bronco tolex covering for long life and cabinet protection. A rigid black grille is added to protect the drivers from damage and to minimize the coloration and tone reduction found with a cloth speaker grille. The internal components used are extremely high quality and they are of Bergantino design. No ‘off-the-shelf’ parts are used. Our new design Neodymium magnet woofers are used for the low frequency section of the HDN series cabinets. These Neodymium drivers have a punchy low-end and a very sweet midrange that is placed a little more forward in the sound field when compared to the HD series. Fretless and upright players will often prefer the HDN cabinets because of how the midrange ‘speaks’ with their instruments. The HDN series cabinets have a new design high intelligibility tweeter mated to the woofers through a custom designed phase-coherent crossover with a tweeter control. Because of the increased cost of the Neodymium magnet material and imported wood for the cabinetry, the HDN series speakers cost more than the HD series, but may just be the right match for your playing style and weight needs.• Woofer: 1-12” Neodymium Magnet Woofer• Tweeter: High Intelligibility HDN Series Tweeter• Cabinet Design: Ported• Cabinet Material: Lightweight Italian Poplar w/ Baltic birch baffle• Cabinet Covering: Black Bronco Tolex• Impedance: 8-ohms• Power Handling: 350W RMS• Crossover: Custom Phase-Coherent Crossover w/ Tweeter Control• Frequency Response: 40hZ – 12KhZ• Sensitivity: 98db @ 2.83v / 1-meter• Dimensions: 16-1/4”H x 18-1/2”W x 15”D• Weight: 28 Lbs.• ProNet Price: $799.00. 6. Thanks mate 👍 I'd say a P with a J neck is the more common variation but this really works and it sounds huge.
  7. Fret-King Green Label Perception, hand made by Mike Smith - of Mike Smith Guitars - on behalf of Fret-King. This was a short lived project by Fret-King to produce high-end custom shop instruments in England. It is a very high quality build using great materials, the Ash body grain is quite striking and the neck feels amazing. It has a Precision bass style neck, wider at the nut and thicker front to back. This is my main reason for moving it on as I'm more comfortable on ultra skinny jazz necks. It utilises high quality Gotoh hardware and comes with a branded Hiscox case. It's in fantastic condition. I'm asking £550 for the bass which offers insane value for money for such a high quality instrument.
  8. I've seen something I'd like so dropping this to £1850. Bargain!!
  9. Sadowsky bump.
  10. I purchased an Ashdown head from Patrick yesterday and it tuned up today in bomb proof packaging. Top man to deal with. Thanks mate 👍
  11. I'll consider trades especially if they involve cash my way 👍
  12. Awesome, when's the first gig?
  13. Now £1850 Quite possibly the ultimate bass. Amazing build quality, comprehensive and versatile electronics, classic looks and sounds, lightweight... Arguably the Sadowsky MJ ticks ALL of the boxes. This bass is in as-new condition and includes all case candy, which is a different class compared to other manufacturers! Included is the (unopened) tool kit, spec certificate, fretboard and body protectors, glossy photo of the actual bass, a memory stick with more photos of the bass and more.. Come and try it out in Margate. I can post if required at the buyers risk or can potentially meet up somewhere. Better photos to follow. Please note the film is still on the pick guard which makes it appear opaque. Any marks on the bass are reflections or finger smudges. It's very shiny.
  14. MIA mate, but with a JJ pickup set as opposed to the standard PJ 👍
  15. Mate, come and have a go on THE Jag if you like? It sounds amazing. Not really a typical jazz sound, much more versatile. The electronics are not noisy. I just took it along to a recording session with a few other basses for variety and ended up playing it on every track. Jags are awesome.
  16. Ultra rare 32" medium scale Squier JV Jazz, made in Japan 1982-1984. This is a wonderful vintage instrument that plays and sounds immense. It has an almost piano quality to the tone which is especially surprising considering the shorter scale length, downsized body and light weight (around 3.5kg). It comes with a cool period correct leather-ish padded gig bag. Collection from Margate or I can post if required.

  17. Open to near offers from a friendly Basschatter 👍
  18. Thanks guys. I could post it if anyone is interested? It should be around £20.
  19. Any offers on this before it goes on the bay?
  20. Phil Jones BG400 combo with an intermittent fault. Every so often it produces a crackle/static sound. I used it for about an hour last night and it was absolutely fine, but it's happened several times in the past so it's being sold as spares or repair. Also note that the aux input isn't working but the headphone output is fine. It's still a beautiful amp with an incredible sound that belies it's diminutive size. Collection from Margate ideally.
  21. Hi, It's 70's spacing. It's worth noting that the bridge pickup sounds great soloed unlike some 70's style Fenders I've played. Cheers
  22. I've actually acclimatised to the chunkier neck and am loving the sound, so I might just leave it as-is. Thanks all, as you were.
  23. It's a bolt-on so could definitely send it minus body, hardware etc.
