1. For sale Aguilar OBP1 preamp with pots. I recently bought a used Mike Lull Jazz, this Aguilar was installed later as an upgrade, but I prefer passive jazz basses so took it out. The included pots are ; a volume (push pull), a passive tone (push pull active/passive) and a stacked bass/treble pot for the OBP1. You'll need some soldering skills as the pots are not soldered to the OBP1 at the moment.... I'm based in the netherlands , shipping to UK is included. The OBP-1's discrete, all-FET circuitry features up to 18dB of boost at 40Hz and 4kHz, creating a sonic environment high in dynamic headroom and low in noise.
2. For sale Hipshot free range Xtender, a clever device to extend your range from a low E to a low C, or E flat, D or C sharp of course. It works like the bass guitar xtenders but this one mounts on the tailpiece of your double bass. Only used two times as I have a bass with an extension now. I'm based in the Netherlands, shipping to UK included. 3. For sale the well known and loved AMT S25b mic, complete with side mounting clamp, a p40 preamp, case and cables. It is used item but in very good condition, I only play acoustic these days so no need for it anymore. I'm based in the Netherlands so price includes shipping to UK. Basschat feedback Feedback for cremonabass - Basschat Microphone for Acoustic Bass - (Includes AP40 "Studio" preamp, side of instrument mounting) The AMT S25B, S25i, SP25B is Applied Microphone Technology’s microphone original side clamping system’s for acoustic bass. Designed, manufactured by hand, and distributed by AMT in the USA. The system is intended to clamp onto the side of a bass allowing for quick and easy removal for traveling or when the microphone is no longer needed. An adjustable clamp allows for different sized instruments. The side mounting systems are the # 1 choice for top professionals that look for the most natural sound reproduction possible from a clip on microphone. The S25B, S25i, & the SP25B include updated features including D.C.T. (Disconnect Cable Technology) with the ability to connect the Wi5IIC creating a belt pack free wireless system if desired. The systems are an electret-condenser microphone that has been designed specifically for acoustic bass. All of the parameters that are problematic for the double bass have been addressed. In order to get the most gain before feedback it uses a very tight pattern to give a high rejection to surrounding noise, at the same time reproducing accurately the subtleties of the bass. As placement is especially important with an instrument that has a fine finish and varying dimensions, this microphone's attachment mechanism is designed to secure the mic to the bass in different positions taking only seconds to attach. The concept for the original version of the AMT Bass microphone was to be able to position the microphone exactly where the player wanted as well as making it portable for travel. The clamping mechanism is fitted with natural soft suede so as not to mark or mar the instrument. Manufactured with lightweight aluminum to keep the mass low yet extremely strong, this microphone will remain durable through many years of use. The flex arm, unlike any other microphone system on the market, is easy to position yet retains it's placement throughout the most active of performances. This S25B utilizes a complex circuit that is tailored for the needs of an acoustic bass player playing in live sound applications with instruments such as drums and acoustic pianos. The system requires 1 XLR mic level output. The pre-amp for the microphone is rugged anodized aviation aluminum, which houses the electronics that can be placed on the floor. The pre-amp is powered by battery or phantom power. The output is terminated with a male XLR type connector for balanced use. The mic is connected to the pre-amp by a four pin locking connector. Comes with AP40 Floor Preamp with 1 XLR Output, mounting system, and hard shell case.
4.
There is always the lighter Berg CN112 I have the OneTen and it is very capable. The low B on my Marleaux is amazing with it.
I know the CN112 a little bit, besides the price which is almost double of the TKS and BF overhere, I didn't really like the sound. The "neo mids/high mids" were too prominent for me. It is good to hear the the one 10 copes well with a B string!
5.
The tone of the s112 is great...lends itself to hard pick break up, and also a more funk element. I wouldn't say its is completely at home 'flat' but it has quite a smooth..not bassey, sound. Some 12"s cabs I've used are definitely compromises in between percieved 15" and 10" ground and that is a lot of ground to cover. I don't think anyone will have any complaints about the TKSs112 tone..but I'd have a tweeter in it if just the one. Maybe' it is emperors news clothes but my mates rave over this new rig... where I run TKS 112's with a Demeter. It is pretty clean and can be spikey if you want it to be. Never the bassiest of cabs..and who'd want that anyway... but full and deep but with attack.... never boxey...IMO. Build quality is almost Berg like...and that is probably just style thing than anything else. 10kgs for a ceramic cab... I'd say that stands a very good chance of getting close to an HD. All my cabs are ceramic speakers...and s112 sit well with my DB cabs as well..
Thanks Jtuk, wasn't it you who wrote in a thread that the TKS sits in between the Aggie Sl112 and the Berg CN112? Those cabs I know, the Aggie was a bit too bassy and the CN112 too middy for my taste (a bit oversimplified...)so the TKS would be more to my liking. Until now I always prefer ceramic speakers in 12inch cabs and I heard most of them...but I don't want to start another debate about neo vs ceramic!
6. Yes I know from experience that a single 1x12 isn't enough most of the times if you have to put a pillow under the band, but for monitoring and more quiet gigs they are great. I have a glock 15 inch which is loud enough for me, but rather big.... The difference in tonal character is what interests me most between the TKS and BF, there are some clips on youtube but if anyone has heard them both in the flesh?
7. I'm looking for a lightweight cab to use for small gigs and rehearsals and these two seem to get a lot of interest on BC.... I guess it's a small chance, but has anybody experience with both these cabs? They are both light and small, price is about the same in the Netherlands, I'm interested in the differences in sound. It should handle a B string well and keep up with a not too loud drummer, I'll use it with a Glockenklang Blue Sky , fretted. fretless BG and DB mainly jazz/fusion and blues stuff. If it wasn't that expensive and relatively heavy I would go for a Berg HD112, so that's the sound I'm more or less looking for, other recommendations in the same weight and price class are welcome of course!
8. Traded myTh350 for Kieran's Shuttlemax, smooth deal and excellent communication. Highly recommended seller!

10. Sorry Luke, but green cabs are nice too So far a lot of interest but nothing definitive , because of a short holiday pm's will be answered after 8/5.
11. Even at this price it doesn't generate much interest in the Netherlands..... Bergantino is unfortunately not so well known over here. It is priced to sell and of course the weak euro helps a little bit
12. For sale Berg IP112/EX112 set non ER in excellent condition with Berg padded covers. The Ip112 is an active cab with a 1000/500watt power amp with dsp, this results in having a single 12 inch cab that sounds very deep and full for it's size. Together with the EX112 cab you have a 1000w stack that should handle almost any situation. Both cabs are 15 x 17,5 x 13inch, EX 36lbs, IP 46 lbs Still have the original boxes, so shipping is fine and included in the price of 850. 13. I also have a ip112/ex112 stack with a monique preamp and have been looking for a smaller alternative. I tried a lot of cabs (aguilar, barefaced, bag end etc) the only cab who came close was the Audiokinesis Thunderchild 112. It's a 4ohm cab with lowish sensitivity so you need a nice and powerful amp and you have to import it from the US and deal with the import hassle and transport risk
14.
Here is a youtube link with a jam video we did with SL112 as part of an extensive test of five 1x12 cabs in a music forum in Greece. With all due respect to SL which I do consider it a very good cab, I believe that, at almost the same price, first the Barefaced Big Baby 2 and at a lower price, the Vanderkley 112EXT (both at the same test), in a different way each one, are better cabs . I am sorry but i've heard the Berg only once and for a very short time to have an opinion for a comparison. Of course the above should be taken with all the usual disclaimers such as IMHO and YMMV... .
How did you likt the Tecamp xs112 in comparison with the other cabs in your video?
15. I have a mike lull v-5 just a couple of months old, but i prefer the 34" scale of Sadowsky instead of the 35" lull
16. Very nice! What is the weight on this one, and are there trade options or only a straight sale?
17. Jon bought my BigBaby2, great communication and a very trustworthy buyer
