Obviously an unwanted expense but a Furman power conditioner might help?

Thanks for the offer but only really after cash for this, only trade I'd be interested in would be a Jap jazz
Gosh, that's lovely. Will anyone get the hump if I say it looks like a warwick? If it had frets, would seriously think about parting with cash. Anyone got a fretted neck for this?
Haha it's pretty much based on a Thumb yes. Could easily be fretted too -
Thanks for the kind comments everyone type bump!

Hey all
Selling my trusty old Vester Fretless. Before I knew about BC and GAS this was my main squeeze for ten years of gigs and recording, never let me down but has been usurped by a Sadowsky so time to go
Bubinga body, Gotoh tuners and Brass Nut, High mass adjustable bridge, Straplocks.
Composite/ebanol type board that's happily withstood roundwounds with barely any wear, five piece neck with contoured heel. Punchy active 9v circuit - vol/vol/tone
it's been a working bass but I've always looked after it and it's built like a tank. Some marks obv but very good condition for its age. I'd say a perfect first fretless
Collection from Bath/Bristol area preferred but will ship boxed in the UK at your expense. I'm asking a very reasonable £150 firm on this, less than half what I paid for it s/h at Mansons in Exeter in '99. Any questions fire away

ps. this is patently not a custom instrument, it's just what's written on the truss cover OK! -
Or check the the new TC Electronic combos at Bass Direct, 500w with many of the Rebelhead features at a really good price, sorely tempted myself. Would like to know how they compare to the MB combos

Wow some great stuff being posted. Jazz straddles so many genres and takes different forms, this blows me away every time
Wow, Graham, thanks for the post! Extraordinary player, and an amazing band. Never seen this before.
See what you mean about the drum sound, but what a player!

heheh oh yeah she's not too bad either -
Some gospel funk from Debra Killings, worth it for the sound of the kit alone

Stumbled on this version of Parkers Confirmation, nothing spectacular but some lovely walking lines

There's this guy too...

was privileged enough to see Zappa at Wembley in '88, I think they were his last shows here. just magical. Thunes a great fit for Zappa I always thought, punky and contrary

Take the slap technique out of the equation and the chords/modal work is still sensational. A prodigy
-
check this guy in the vids page, very acrobatic and lacking some tone, but impressive, esp towards the end

On a Lakkie tip the 5502 takes a lot of beating, a very modern look and sound from either the Barts or the LH3 configs. Depends what kind of vibe you're after

Been browsing this site for a while, US-centric but some very cool interviews, vids, q&a etc. Plus if you 'like' the Facebook page then they send you interesting daily tidbits. Well worth a gander

Great playing and great sounding bass!

Bought a JB62 from Ishibashi a few years ago. Great communication and service

Bough a pedal from Ollie. Good communication and arrived promptly as promised. Recommended
Yolanda Charles is a very good bass player as well - don't know much about this band of hers but ought to be pretty good:

Love Yolanda. What's that she's playing though, is it a Celinder? -
Another example of superb restraint an feel
I have the fretted one, in green, excellent bass - particularly when you stick a set of EMGs in it.
Have big ole friendly bump from me for a really ace bass!
Thanks mate, these really are amazing instruments for the money… if I was keeping it I'd probably think about some new pups, maybe some Wizards
