Love Larry, one of the originators, with a unique take on the technique. +1 for the Betty Davis and GCS stuff, awesome!

Absolutely, I play my Sadowsky in some real toilets, but I bought it be played, and it thrills me to gig with. Its not an 'investment' or whatever. Lifes too short!

Chris bought my Yamaha TRB5 fl. Great communication and prompt payment, clearly one of the good guys!

Bought Seans Bacchus. Very accomodating, great communication and speedy delivery. Highly recommended!

Spacing is 17mm at the bridge

I'll have a look when I get home later

Unique styling and great player with full range and quite an aggressive sound if you want from the 3-band eq and 18v active circuit. Its 34" scale. This is a lot of bass for the money!
SPEC
Body: Mahogany and dark walnut with flame maple top
Neck: Mahogany and hard rock maple, neck thru-body
Fingerboard: Indian rosewood
Frets: 24 fat
Hardware: Black
Bridge: Heavy duty five saddle bridge, diecast machineheads
Pickups: 2 x Ultra ABS4
Controls: 1 x stacked volume/passive tone, 1 x balance, 3 x active tone (bass, mid, treble), active/passive switch
Finish: Trans satin red
I'd like £200 firm as it is, collected from near Bristol, rather not post as have no case for it, but could possibly sort a box out for cost + postage
Now accepting trade bait, lightweight cabs or high end comprerssors preferred
cheers -
Offering my lovely Yamaha TRB5 lined fl up for sale/trade
Excellent condition, beautiful hi cherry sunburst showing lovely Ash grain, with rosewood board. 34" scale.
Comes in its original fitted hard case also VGC
A few very small lacquer chips on the back but not through to the wood (will upload better photos soon)
Comprehensive active electronics with bass, treble and three way mid switch which can be calibrated with internal toggle.
2 double coil alnico pups. Plays great with a low action and sounds gorgeous.
Times are hard so I'll offer this for straight sale at £475 firm + p&p. Or would trade (at a higher value) - US or CIJ/MIJ Fender Jazz, or Lakland JO/DJ or fretted WHY

Love it, the out of time cowboy rocks!
Not far off a Justin Chancellor tone from the Wal -
Ive had a few great sets of Highbeams and Sunbeams (current SB set a year old and still sounding lush) but found a recent set of Black Beauties to be a huge let down. Coating coming off almost instantly, a sticky feel and average at best sound. Struggled to equate them with all the praise hereabouts and Ed Friedlands classic DR review. Dont expect those kind of QC issues at that price (esp for a fiver set). Love Elixirs too BTW

Surprised this thread has gone on without anyone posting this in defence
Feel, tone and groove.
Also she's a kid, making the most of what she's got. Not yet a great but time is on her side -
Ditto. Unreal bargain for a six player! Quality instrument

Funny, from a proponent of what is for the large part generic cheese. The fretless has a distinct voice, but as mentioned plenty have taken it to different melodic places. Bitter domineering old Jeff needs to look outside his clinic once in a while

Hi is this 34" or 35" scale??

Thanks for posting. Fascinating story and some great music that slipped the net

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. The first album that turned me on to Marcus

Dude from Aloe Blacc playing a lovely Sadowsky, sounds like VTC in full effect!
-
Stunning! Would love to hear this played in anger. Good luck with sale
