2. Yamaha NE-1: I originally got this mainly to sculpt the tone of a passive fender but haven't used it all that much since that bass' departure. A really interesting little box and a very valuable asset for any passive enthusiasts or indeed anyone who wants to seriously refine their sound and doesn't have a semi-para on their amp. The blurb from the yammie website- Developed by Yamaha over a decade ago for Nathan East, this "magic box" has helped him to achieve his signature sound with such artists as Eric Clapton, Elton John, Michael Jackson and the FourPlay. The NE-1 is a fully parametric equalizer designed to shape the mid-range of a bass's total spectrum. Three "Q" shape patterns allow you to apply creative and corrective equalization. £40 incl. postage
 3. Rickenbacker type clang, really? Thats interesting, I'll be fiddling with the controls for the rest of the night now!
 4.
Someone will snap this one up pretty soon. It's a lovely looking bass, so best of luck with the sale

I've one (in mahogany) and it is a great bass. Don't sell it - it's too good to sell!
Thanks guys, I'm starting to reconsider!
 5. I'd love to keep it but amp equipment is taking precedent *sigh*
 6.
That's a nice one! What happened to the screws out of the control plate on the back?
My, we do have an eagle eye . I was changing the battery at the time and checking over the electronics. They are securely back in place now.
 7.
pm sent
And Pm replied to good sir.
 8. Atfer several years out in the cold at Uni, I've finally got regular gigs so I need to finance a new rig. I bought this to see what all the graphite talk was about and I am very, very impressed. I can see why they have such a following. For a bass which is 10+ years old, it's in very good condition. There are a few very minor marks on the body mainly on the main contact areas on the back and a slight depression over the neck pup where the previous owner rested his thumb. It plays flawlessly with very little fret wear and the set up is low; very low without any audible buzzes. Exactly what you'd expect from a Status. Electronics are all in working order too. Comes with fresh D'Addario strings and a Status padded gig bag. Its an early nineties model with-

Walnut nody
Graphite neck
2x Status hyperactive J style pups.
More pics on request. £410 incl. postage Cheers guys, Jay
 9. After several years out in the cold at Uni, I finally have regular gigs so I need to raise cash for a new rig! EBS Micro bass II- Used as a practice set-up through headphones and has only seen bedroom use so is still in mint condition. This is a superb bit of kit and I always intended to use it as a D.I. but I've decided to just go for a HD 350 instead. The whole package really which includes channel switching, DI & preamp all in one box; it has a headphone socket for silent practice, effects loop, tube simulation, the works. SOLD Yamaha NE-1: I originally got this mainly to sculpt the tone of a passive fender but haven't used it all that much since that bass' departure. I bought it the day after I heard Continuum for the first time SOLD I'm open to trades for an amp head- EBS hd350, Mark bass or Genz-Benz. Cheers guys! Jay.
 10. Hey dave, Fancy meeting you here. ^_^ I tried a four string studio version and it was pretty abysmal; thin sounding, chunky neck and the balance was very poor with a lot of neck dive. Although, I'd imagine the reason anyone would use this instrument is the aesthethic appeal so playabilty and sound would be secondary. Best advice is 'try before you buy'! But I prefer that tasty spector you were using the last day. What happened to the $$?
 11. Yap, I've had it on ebay for while indeed and it is the prototype for Chris' single cut design. It has what Chris describes as an AC silk lacquer finish. It provides ample protection but really shows off the beautiful woods and is very smooth to the touch. And best of all it doesn't require any waxing just the odd polish here and there. And not being able to hang it on the wall is a small sacrifice;) Go on, treat yourself. And you're more than welcome to come try it out. I'll provide the tea and hob nobs
