I'm not sure that I'm qualified to give you full advice on this, but I'll go ahead anyway 😆 . 1) The difference in volume between a 300mm length of 25mm by 25mm baton and 20mm by 20mm is 0.0675 litres, so if you multiply this by the length of the baton you're using it'll tell you the difference in volume. Personally I can't see it making a massive difference, but I expect somebody will be along soon who has better knowledge. What's the total length of baton you'll be using? (I can't remember the size of the cab). 2) I'd glue and screw. 3) yes, that's easy and feasible. You just need to wire the plates so that plugging in the second speaker connects it in parallel to the first by shorting between the positive of the first post to the positive of the second and the same for the negatives. You'll need to make sure that you never try and connect two amps to the same cab, or to the two connected cabs. I've been thinking about doing the same if I ever get around to building this cab, but would also quite like it to be configurable to run in stereo for my keyboard. Hmmm,maybe I need a four box solution 😆, but then again I already have an Ashdown 4x8.

I've been going through all same concerns, but I want to fly with a keyb0&rd. I've spoken to Ryan Air customer service ( yes, there are people who have that as a job title 😆), and they recommended buying a seat which is probably what I'll do when I travel next year. Don't forget you'll need to pay for assigned seating for both of you, and you'll need to carry it through the airport. Not such a big deal for a bass, but it is for a 15kg keyboard.

Wow, that theme tune really brought back nights hiding under the sheets as a kid with a small transistor radio pressed to my ear. Terrified (totally unnecessarily) that my mum would come in. It wasn't the only thing odd about that book. 😀 I was an avid fan of it when I was a teenager. I remember the TV series coming out. Am I right in thinking it'd been a radio series first ? I seem to recall surreptitiously listening to it under the bedcovers.

Any 5 string with 4 tuners on one side of the headstock and 1 sticking out the other like the proverbial Friday afternoon after-thought. (Oh sh1t, where can we put this extra tuner ....) Anything above a 4 string has to be as balanced as possible.

I have a similar selection of things that could do it ( Boss BR-80, a couple of different Bass Pandoras, a Zoom multi effects pedal, a small mixer, a Roland Fantom 08 etc), but I've always wondered why it can't just be included like it is on some EUBs and acoustic instruments.

I recently went to watch a live band in a local pub. They are a pretty well known band in Ireland, never made the big time but are well respected. The bassplayer had one of those on the rather cramped stage next to him. He played a total of 4 notes on it the entire gig. But then again, at one point in the gig, one of the 2 drummers on stage was playing a diggeridoo duel with a guitarist, also on a diggeridoo. It's been a while since I saw anyone play a diggeridoo, now all of a sudden 2 show up at once. 😆 Great gig, but madly chaotic at times.

I have one, but I'm currently using it as a practice amp with a digital piano. It's never been gigged 😀 . I'm considering buying a 15 to match with it for a rather unique stereo gigging rig. Left hand through the 15, right hand through the 4x8.

Nice. I still have a very early Kingston 5 string which I took the fugly pickguard off 5 minutes after getting it home from the shop. Ive always drooled over a 535, which I know I'll never buy as I'll never be good enough to deserve it. I have seriously contemplated the AG model though and may well take the plunge one day.

Not really. It doesn't say where the original buyer is located or if the bass was bought directly from the manufacturer or through a shop. It also doesn't say where the OP bought it, did they buy it from the original buyer in the UK, or in Belgium?

That's certainly possible, however I do know that Thomman allow the warranty to transfer to a subsequent owner, but with a shorter length of cover. It's certainly possible that the bass still has some coverage left especially as it's still very new. It may depend on where the original buyer is located to see if it's covered under EU or UK law. It'd also be worth seeing if the original buyer is prepared to help too.

Hmmm. Not entirely sure that this is the case. I enquired with Thomann about a stage piano recently (okay, okay, I know it's the wrong forum) that I was looking to buy privately from someone local to me, but had originally been sold by them. It was about 6 months old. They said that they will continue to honour the warranty, but instead of it being a 3 year warranty, it drops down. I can't recall if it dropped to a year from when I bought it, or 2 years from the original sale, but the point was there was still a warranty. This was Thomann, but it may be the case with other sellers. It also applies in many other cases. Car warranties are transferable if the car is sold. I'd say find out where it was originally bought and also contact the manufacturer. If it was a manufacturing defect you should be protected. I would also point out to the manufacturer that this wasn't something that 'broke' it was wrong from the day it was built. If worse comes to worse, then you could threaten the manufacturer with taking them to the small claims court, but try and exhaust the other possibilities first.

Maybe Behringer should do the same and put a list of synths on their web page and we can vote on which one they rip off..oops.... sorry...'create a homage to' next. 😆

I've just spent a leisurely couple of hours this Boxing Day morning, whilst waiting for the rest of the family to get up, modeling this on WINISD and had the same problem. Looks like I'll have to look elsewhere. 😓
