1. Marshall VBA 400 head ALL TUBE, MASSIVE POWER - £600!! Ok, you all know the deal with the VBA400. Huge sound, heavy beast, built like a tank. These are now about £1400 new! the photo isn't the actual head but for illustration purposes only. I have had this head for a couple of years and it has been very well looked after. Mainly studio use and lightly gigged. Not gigged with it for about a year, hence the sale. Tolex is pretty much mint condition. It has been serviced last year and valve condition is good as far as I can tell. I am open to the idea of a courier and will pack well but you can organise it and pay for courier yourself. Collection is fine also. Oh yes and it also comes with a nice shiny black cover with white Marshall logo on the top. Have a little bit of recording left to do for a week or so and then it is available. Think I'll get a Little Bastard when this goes as I don't gig so much now. This is the link to the Marshal VBA webpages: http://www.marshalla...ductCode=VBA400 Here is a summary: The VBA400 has the massive tonal power of eight 6550 power tubes, plus three ECC83 and one ECC82 in the preamp section. The front panel controls are kept simple, but still offers a lot of tonal variation with the three-band passive EQ and 'Contour' control. Tuning your bass during a set is also made easier with the addition of the 'Tuner Mute' switch that cuts all sound to the speaker cabinets and DI output, while still feeding sound to the dedicated tuner output. Marshall VBA 400 Features:

Active or passive inputs
Tuner Mute selection switch with status indicator
Gain, Bass, Middle and Treble passive EQ controls.
Three position Contour control to reconfigure the EQ.
Deep and Bright switches.
Master Volume.
Tuner output.
XLR DI output with level selection switch.
2 or 4 Ohm impedance selection switch.
Low or high speed fan selection switch.
PM or email: cushymac AT hotmail dot com

 4. Hi. Is this still for sale? Very interested in this, never had an ashdown before.
 5. It would sound and play like sh*t I'm sure. Who cares when it looks like that though? Lottery on Wednesday it is then.
 6. I really love the look of this thing. I really want it for some reason. Can't bring myself to buy it though. Thoughts anyone? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Orpheus-Orfeus-Hebros-Soviet-USSR-Russian-Vintage-Archtop-ES-335-Bass-Guitar-60s-/180859246336?pt=Guitar&hash=item2a1c0d1700
 7. Plenty of love for this fine bass. Anyone need any further info or pics?
 8. Rare 80's hohner Jazz Bass I think it is an ash body, maple on maple neck with abalone dots. It is slightly lighter than a Fender. The bridge is a lump, all original and I cannot find one like this on any other Hohner anywhere on the net. Tuners are Schaller with one Hipshot Dtuner. The electrics are all new and shielded, very high quality as they were taken from a top of the range Lakland and then re-wired. Mahogony thumb rest and Tort pickguard and truss rod cover. The pickups are Wizard Eighty-Fours, Wizard says; Darker, bassier and generally dirtier than the Sixty-Fours, these pickups are overwound to lower the overall tone. Loud and proud these pickups will drive any group. http://www.wizardpic...p?category=Bass The Bass was recently set-up by Simon Jones at SGL Guitars and it is superb to play. It has a brand new set of DR Handwound strings on it with a heavy bottom E from a Dtune set. http://www.sglguitars.co.uk/ Overall condition is good. A bit of paint chipped here and there but that just adds to the look and feel. Quality bass at a great price. Selling as need funds and just don't get to play this one. PRICE DROP [s]£275[/s] £245 plus shipping at cost. I had an error when I uploaded the pics - it just won't let me. 9. Chrome Gotoh 201? I have one in as new condition you can have for £30 posted to mainland UK. It has been fitted but never strung, and then removed. I also have a chrome neck pickup cover if you are interested. Don't think it is OEM but it's quite nice - £5

 12. Hey Like the look of this but does it play well? What is the action and neck like and what does it sound like? I am guessing there is no case for this, how would you pack for shipping to Swansea? Cheers Steve

 14. Hi I bought this for very little money and it turns out to be a great playing jazz. Have upgraded the tuners with Schallers and a Hipshot, Wizzard 84 pups and new electrics since these photos were taken. Now it has been set-up properly it sounds and plays like an absolute dream. Has anyone seen one of these before and has anyone got any info on it? I have emailed Hohner and checked their website and no info is available. Thanks Steve Mc
