2. PRICE REDUCTION -- I'll do it for £300 collected or £350 posted.
3. This is an excellent original jazz bass with a great vintage look and feel. It has been professionally set up and plays amazingly well – the action is low and there is plenty of mojo (hate that word!), growl and love from this bass. I am told that the body and pickups are original 1970s CMI Jazz (Cleartone Music Instruments) made in Japan and apparently they were made for Marshall Amplification. It is solid mahogany and a very good quality instrument. The tone is big and exceptionally good from the vintage humbuckers. I have had the pups professionally serviced and waxed to improve their lifespan and stop any microphonic feedback. The electrics are shielded to reduce any earthing issues. They are awesome. The bridge was changed to a 70s 4 saddle version but have the original 2 saddle bridge which can be included. The neck is not original and is from an old Fender Squire jazz I believe. It was aged to match the body and I must say it has been done exceptionally well. Every attention has been given to the feel of the neck as well as the look. The frets have been smoothed and aged slightly, which dramatically improves the playability and mojo of the neck. The neck has also been smoothed down and re-finished in a satin feel vintage lacquer. There is an appropriate Fender logo on there, which I am not really keen on, but apart from that I love everything else about the bass. The sound, feel and playability are exceptional in my opinion. Comes in the case - it's nothing special but really solid and protects the bass well, which is what you expect from a case and it does the job. I am only selling this as I play more drums than bass these days and I need to release some funds to buy some more percussion. It is not on for much money (£350) so I’m not interested in offers at this stage. As far as trades are concerned I could be tempted to a Hagstrom Viking Baritone as I have wanted one for ages (for some reason) If this came up I would have to park the idea of drum stuff and do a deal. I am based in Swansea for collection but could post. 4. Sorry, I've been away. I tried to pay before I left but my ebank went a bit screwy. I'll have another go. Cheers S

6. "What?? Has he lost his mind?" I hear you say A near mint Marshall VBA for £600 delivered!!! I need the funds so this has been priced to sell
7. £700 shipped UK Mainland. A great price for an amazing head!
8. Great amp at a great price - includes UK shipping
9. SOLD * SOLD * SOLD - I need the funds so this has to go - A ridiculous bargain!! Up for sale is my MARSHALL VBA400 bass amp - Collection from Swansea preferred but I will UK ship and will even knock up a plywood box to house it in transit. I have a vinyl Marshall soft case with it also. This is one hell of an amp - chock full of tubes and a massive sound. Eight 6550 power valves, plus three ECC83 & a single ECC82 in the preamp. Serviced last year, it all works as it should. The head is in superb condition with almost no cosmetic damage - apart from a few little dinks it is almost as new. I am selling it because I no longer regularly gig so it has just been sitting in the studio for the last few years, apart from one or two outings a year. It's too good an amp not to use. The money will go on a new surfboard and some drum hardware. It was used to record on 3 Rugfire albums, among others. I'll even chuck a few albums in for free!! See below for more details: This is what Marshall say about it http://www.marshalla...-series/vba400/ Look for reviews and see what everyone says about them. Note: Image is not of actual amp. Active or passive inputs Tuner Mute selection switch with status indicator Gain, Bass, Middle and Treble passive EQ controls. Three position Contour control to reconfigure the EQ. Deep and Bright switches. Master Volume. Tuner output. XLR DI output with level selection switch. 2 or 4 Ohm impedance selection switch. Low or high speed fan selection switch I am also selling a great cab to house a 15" speaker but it has no speaker in it. Black "soft touch" tolex and original Marshall salt and pepper grillecloth - I was going to modify a Marshall logo to say Parshall and stick a huge 15" in it but have just not got round to finishing it. I'll do some pics when I next go to the studio Tuesday. I have a loaded matching 2x10 but I'm keeping that. Give me a shout if you need any further information - I always leave something important off when I sell things!

11. Hi All Thanks for the advice, really usefull. I have spoken to Aaron at Armstrong Pickups who says he can sort them out for me. Anyone had any experience of Armstrong Pickups?
12. I sent them to Wizard and Andy didn't want to touch them. He said they were beyond repair!
13. Hi I have an old Jap Jazz which has Maxon humbuckers in it. The Maxons have pretty much had it and are microphonic - on closer inspection they are shagged beyond repair. The bass plays and (did) sound amazing. Can anyone recommend something that I can use to replace the maxons that will have a nice vintage sound and not require too much modification - the hole is pretty large. Obviously Hammon Darkstars came to mind but these are no longer in production. The neck position can take anything as I can just make a new pickguard, so it is the bridge position I am concerned about. Cheers Steve Mc

17. Hi Have you got a chrome jazz control plate kicking around by chance? Just the plate needed - no electrics. Condition unimportant as it is going on a relic. Cheers Steve
