1. I've added a couple of new items that have just surfaced - a pair of Studiospares 24-way patchbays and a couple of boxes of unopened R-48 DAT tapes. Details in the OP.
2. Haven't used it for some time. Still works AFAIK but not guaranteed. Anybody want it before I heave it out? I'll give it a week or so.
3.
Haha, I'm just teasing you Lefty - most of their modern range is total sh*te; and they are overplaying the pointy crap, because they know it sells well in certain markets... mainly new members on Talkbass who like to ask which basses are good for metal The top one is mine. You're welcome to have a go any time - totally kills a Fender Precision, and I'd love to add more to the collection. But, their best basses are either in the past or coming via the Custom Shop, and I don't think either is necessarily a predictable delivery route at the moment.
No worries. They do look nice. As for playing, well I'm left handed.... Slightly O/T, but a female student of mine bought a BC Rich guitar a few years ago (can't remember which one sadly - biggest they did at the time I suspect). I don't know how tall she was, but she was shorter than my wife (5'3"). She'd bought a proper HSC for it, and could actually hide behind it almost without bending her knees. Cracked me up every time she turned up for a lesson with it!
4.
Ha - i work in one!
... and you have kids you still call third formers? Yikes! Looks like it's 100 lines for me then!
5.
......... a 3rd formers bass project.
I'm guessing it's been a while since you were in a school....
6. Mixer, Wedge and Rack case are now sold pending payment. I'm happy to entertain all sensible offers on the remaining rack gear, but please be aware that these items will be delivery/collection only (with the possible exception of the MOTU) - I have no packaging for them and therefore cannot post. I don't mind travelling to get the job done - anywhere within around 100 miles of Birmingham - for a contribution to fuel costs.
7.
So is this a left handed amp then???
8. Hey matey! Welcome from one Lefty to another. Enjoy the forum. Don't know if you're up for it but we're having a Lefty Bass Bash just outside Warwick in a couple of weeks. Check out the details in the 'Events' subforum. Love to see you there.
9.
Yeah, I hate BC Rich - it's all pointy, bollock-shaped tat...
Nice instruments! Just so we're all clear, the comment was a play on words and not a dismissive comment about BC Rich - although I'm not a fan I don't have a problem with them or the people who play them.
10. Two weeks and counting. If you want to come and still need a lift, now's the time to ask again. Registration forms going out next weekend guys, so make sure Patch has your details. The forms will be mailed as Word documents, so let us know if printing is likely to be an issue for you.
11. Ricks. I know lots of people love 'em, but I've never understood the appeal. Also P basses, as above. BC Rich-type stuff - what's the point? On the other hand I just lurve my headless Sei. No accounting for taste I guess...
12. Bump with a price drop. Now at £280 ono
13. Bump with the added incentive that I'm happy to consider delivery over a wide area for surprisingly little extra (a lot of it won't post easily and I like driving and have time on my hands, so...).
14. Lots of interest. Somebody want to make me a sensible offer? Does no harm to ask... Oh, and bump.
15. I did wonder and thought I should mention it... No probs. I'm happy to consider any fair offer.
16.
Any fancy for a trade? I got a nice 5 string that I haven't listed yet...
Sorry but FS only. Apologies for not making it clear before. (Also, I'm left handed... )
17. The continuing downsize of my gear is in progress. The item for sale here is my sunburst Lefty MIJ Strat. Apart from the pups it's a pretty faithful copy of the '57 original. Made in 1993, basswood body. Apart from a couple of minor dinks (not visible from the front) it's in outstandingly good condition, and overall is wearing it's 19 years very lightly indeed. Having just examined it before posting here it looks in need of a minor setup (which will be done prior to sale) but nothing more. Comes in a generic padded canvas bag. Here's a shot of the instrument to give you a general idea: http://i1109.photobu...SCN0352_226.jpg If you're interested and want a closer look, PM me with your email and I'll send you a full set of pics. Looking for £260 ono. I'd much prefer not to post it, and would be happy to deliver it personally pretty much anywhere within around 100 miles of Birmingham for fuel money - or of course buyer can collect from Sutton Coldfield. Or something in between. Any queries, you know where to find me.
18. Photo links now available in the OP
19. If Gibson were the villains of the show (and without wanting to cast stones unfairly I did think the CEO looked very shifty and uncomfortable under questioning), then the lemurs were most certainly the stars.
20. Cheers mate. It is a lovely little amp. I practise with the Flightcase now so it's not getting any use. Photographs shortly.
21. That's a blow mate. My Mrs. could yet be in the same boat come the end of the month. Hope things resolve themselves soon. We'll keep a buffet warm for you just in case.... Andy
