Hi there
Up for sale (no trades, please) is my Yamaha BB414, black. I bought it as a backup for my 1989 Stingray and to add a different tone to the arsenal, but I have never gigged it and now it is just collecting dust in my smoke-free, pet-free, kid-free (but not booze-free!!) house.
It is fitted with a nice sturdier Gotoh bridge (cost £25), although the original crap*y one will be included as well in case a masochist among you wants to refit it and get rid of the Gotoh, it's up to you. Action is very low indeed although completely adjustable, as it is the trussrod.
J neck profile, PJ pu configuration, vol, tone, pu switch. There are no problems whatsoever with the bass, I just do not use it anymore. A couple of superficial scratches on the back (bloody belt!!) and some very light nailmarks from slapping (like you find anyway in NEW basses tried in store as well). Very solid and well built, I still have a 1981 Ibanez from new and it looks like the Japs like their basses like tanks...
It retails for £199 + delivery, without even a gigbag. NEW PRICE: I am asking for £180 SHIPPED within mainland UK (Royal Mail 1st class, there may be a few exceptions for very remote postcodes) and it comes in an ABSOLUTELY PERFECT Hiscox hard case WITH KEY (cost £60). If shipping abroad I will deduct the cost of UK shipping from actual shipping costs.
As you can see I am not selling it to laugh all the way to the bank but only because it is surplus requirement.
If you are looking for a GREAT passive, unexpensive, UPGRADED bass then grab yourself a bargain!!
Cheers mates
