How big is the flat? How many stairs?

If you've got to play loud then you'll need a neo 410 and a light 500 watt amp. A neo 212 might work but probably won't match a 410. Other cabs I'd look at would be 1 or 2 Barefaced Compacts. You can knock down walls with 2 of those!
Very top floor - with small stairwell and low roofs at one point.
And the flat is pretty small - 1 bedroom. The ampeg takes up silly space just now!
Downsizing isn't downgrading, far from it, I don't think anyone gigging Berg cabs for instance would consider your gear an upgrade!
There's a plethora of compact, immensely powerful and fantastic sounding rigs out there. The choice nowadays is great, lots of brands have lightweight, compact gear on offer.

Big stacks are fun, i used to love having a full rig at gigs, but i eventually got sick of having to store it and move it. Not to mention having to cart it up stairs at 4am after a gig and the long motorway journey home!
Downsizing would probs be a better word!
I'm just tired of having to shatter myself loading in and out - its not like my cabs even mic'd - so its pretty much just acting totally as on stage monitoring. Just feel abit like overkill.

Ohhh which cab is that?

2. hey guys,
been doing some thinking recently - do i really need my ampeg SVT CL and SVT HLF610? They're bloody heavy and i don't actually think i have room for them in my flat!
I'm not gigging that often per say - maybe once a month if I'm lucky (and we're talking for 30/40 mins).
Was thinking of getting a Sansamp RBI with some form of power amp perhaps with a lightweight/small 2 or 4x10.

I play mainly dance/rock/daft stuff - Like really effects laiden and what not.

I realize that the SVT is amazing sounding, I just feel i'm wasting it and killing my back/car at the sametime.

Help?
:)

3. Hey guys,
My band have done some recording recently.
We're kinda rock...but dancey.

www.myspace.com/foxdieuk has the new stuff. Please check it out and let me know thoughts.

4. Thats kinda cool. Seems to work really well with the Low Pass filter.

What kinda power supply do these take? How extreme can it go? by extreme i mean like totally obvious that an effect is on.very different sound kinda vibe.

Cheers

PS that last song thats all bass and drums is really pretty ace!

5. Hey folks,
I'm wanting something insane for my pedal board.

I've already got fuzz, synth, octave etc.
I've tried whammy, slicer, ex7 etc. but want something even more mental sounding. I just have no idea what!

Any suggestions at all? My guitarist/synth player has suggested the Moog MF105b? Has anyone got any decent clips of this? With bass..

I play very synth based rocky kinda stuff... er theres some songs up here that might help... www.facebook.com/foxdieuk
And we're just a 3 piece if that helps at all.

Cheers for ANY suggestions! :)

6. Hey all,
Hope someone might be able help me here.

My drummer uses a click track live and is currently using headphones which make him look like Optimus Prime.
He wants ones that he could use (inner ear more than likely) so he can actually move around whilst playing.

He wants ones which can block out the noise from us (guitar/bass/synth) and only hear the click and perhaps lead synth from the headphones.

He can't really afford IEM's just now.

Any one got any ideas?

7. Hey all,
I've got a new pedal coming in the next few weeks that i need cash for so these pedals are going!
The blender and custom blue dragon are going because they're going to be built into the single pedal i'm having done.

What i have currently is as follows. Prices will include P+P. Totally misplaced the boxes. Pedals have been on my board for ages.

Mk1 Marshall Guv'nor distortion pedal - As used by Tim C during first RATM album (Know your enemy/Wake up etc) - £55
Line 6 FM4 Filter Modulation pedal - Comes with 9v daisy chain adaptor - £110
Roland EV 5 expression pedal - I used it for controlling the FM4 - £30 I'll do both the FM4 and Ev5 for £130.
Barge Concepts VB-JR Blend pedal - Useful if using high gain/guitar pedals to allow some low end through. - £70
Sfx Sounds Custom Blue Dragon clean boost - an excellent Clean boost with a customised switch which activates a loop. I used the loop to switch all my fuzz pedals off straight into cleans. Amazing pedal. - £80

Pedals are there.

Cheers

Dave
