1. Hi folks, I'm selling this fantastic mic as I originally bought it for a recording project that stalled. These dual-valve mics are highly regarded and sought after, and their sound is exceptional - very warm and detailed. It's perfect for vocals and works just as well as a room mic. The mic comes in a wooden presentation box and a robust flightcase. Included is a custom shockmount, power supply, and connecting cable. Their price new is around £1099. It is in excellent used condition and yours for[s] £700[/s] £650 collected from Swindon. I'm happy to deliver at the buyer's risk and expense, or meet up at a maximum distance of, say, 50 miles. I'm not looking for trades. Here is the text and specifications from the SE Electronics website (http://www.seelectro...ni-ii-tube-mic/): The sE Gemini II is the larger-than-life answer to your vocal tracking needs. It's not just large in stature - it's HUGE in sound. The Gemini II dual valve microphone is a no-holds-barred piece of microphone history. The dual valve design means pure valve warmth from the 12AX7 input valve, coupled with a 12AU7 valve on the output stage. The result is an incredibly large, detailed, and intimate sound – reminiscent of the classic valve microphones from decades ago, but with a thoroughly modern twist. Most microphones use a transformer to optimize the mic's output impedance and couple the mic to the mic preamplifier. With the Gemini II, this optimization is accomplished with a second vacuum tube, negating any high-frequency rolloff typically incurred with a transformer. This provides the Gemini II with a sparkling, pristine high-end typically only found in the most expensive solid-state microphones, while maintaining the rich, thick tonality of a tube mic. Not just for vocals, the bass cut filter and -10dB pad make the Gemini useful for loud and heavy sources like drum room mics and booming timpani. The Gemini II comes packaged in a wooden presentation box next to its custom shockmount and robust power supply, all within a secure and solid flight case.

Frequency Response: 20Hz-20kHz
Sensitivity: 12.6mV/Pa - 38 ± 1dB(0dB=1V/Pa 1000Hz)
Polar Pattern: Cardioid
Impedance: ≤ 200 Ohms
Equivalent Noise Level: 12dB(A weighted)
Max SPL for 0.5% THD @1000Hz: 135dB
Power Requirement: External PSU included
Connector: 3-pin XLR
Thanks! 2. Hi folks, I'm selling this Aguilar GS412 cab as it's a bit big for my needs right now. The sound is wonderful - deep, powerful, punchy. If you want old-school heft and an impressive stage presence, this is the cab for you. I've had many compliments about it from sound engineers and audiences. It's also easy to move around, with handles and wheels. It's in very good condition. There are a few scuff marks here and there, and a small bit of material coming away slightly at the bottom on the back, which you can see in the picture of the cab from behind. However, none of this cosmetic wear and tear is visible when gigging. Also included is a ROQSOLID cab cover, which I paid around £70 to £90 for. Here is the text and specifications from the Aguilar website (http://www.aguilaram...inets_gs412.htm): This cabinet will give you the legendary tone of the GS 112 but with volume to fill any venue from mid sized club to stadiums. With its combination of ergonomically placed handles and rear wheels the GS 412 is a roadies dream – huge tone but it's easy to move! Bass Player Magazine described the sound of the GS 412 as "big, with three-dimensional notes you could hang on like tree limbs".

Four 12" cast frame woofers, 56 oz. magnets
Phenolic tweeter with integral phase plug
Custom crossover with variable tweeter control
One Neutrik Speakon and two 1/4" inputs
Tilt-back and Side Handles, Rear Wheels
7 ply, void-free Philippine Mahogany
Power Handling: 1200 watts RMS
Frequency Response: 37 Hz - 16 kHz
Sensitivity: 101 dB 1W 1M
Impedance: 4 ohms
Dimensions: 45"H x 23.25"W x 17"D
Weight: 116 lbs
Thanks! 3. I'm loving the sound of this. I guessing it's a Warwick - would anyone know which model? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yE1pnDERWU0
  4. I have a DB751 with your old Tonehammer 500 as back up, Freddie. Buggered if I can tell the difference.

  6. SOLD Hi folks. This premium DI is in perfect condition and I've used it only a couple of times. Many top players use it, including Tony Levin and Nathan East.

Jensen Transformer equipped passive DI
Eliminates hum and buzz from ground loops
Virtually zero phase & harmonic distortion
Exceptional signal handling and noise rejection
[s]£105[/s] £100 posted in the UK (BACs transfer, please) and comes with the box and all the gubbins. 8.
That opens your options out - GAK have several combos which would do the trick - there's a Warwick 15" combo for £419, or the Ibanez Promethean at £317, the Hartke Kickback 15" is £424, and the new Peavey Max 15 is £279

I'd still go with Peavey personally. Solid gear that should last for years beyond the warranty. Trace Elliot new will be just out of reach. Ibanez Promethean and Hartke Kickback mentioned above, but I have 1st and 2nd hand experience of reliability issues with both. The new Fender Rumble stuff looks promising, looks like they have made good use of the Genz Benz tech they recently bought out, but I haven't tried these.
Thank you! I've passed these recommendations on. Cheers, Steve
  9. Thank you for all your thoughts and recommendations, everyone, I appreciate it! I've passed on your ideas but just heard that the church wants to buy new (they want the comfort of a warranty) and their budget is now £500. Any ideas? Thanks again, Steve
  10. Great, thanks for your advice, people, much appreciated!
  11. Hi folks, A friend's church needs a quality bass combo. The congregation is around 150 people and the church's budget is approximately £300. Could you recommend a decent, reliable combo for that purpose? Many thanks for your help! Steve
  12. Bump for an unused, top-quality, true-bypass effects switcher for a fraction of the original price - yours for £35 posted.
