1. I have hardly played in the last 12 months and although I love this cab I don't really have the room for it as a piece of furniture!

Just over £800 new plus I had a cover made for it that cost about £45 so I'm looking for £550.00

It's in excellent condition, no scuffs or scrapes and has only been used in rehearsals, the black paint on the board that the speakers are mounted on show some brown from the wood, it's nothing really but I like to mention it.

    Stunning looking and sounding cab.

As for trades I might be interested in one or two neo high end 1x10's or a Lakland 5 string, see link below.

  2.
I have taken a look on the web at the various products mentioned so far and - while they all seem to deliver what I need - most have much greater functionality than I need TBH. If that is what is available then fine and I will try and decide which one to buy. However I was wondering if there is a simple plug-and-play option with perhaps little more than basic gain and tone controls (I don't want to play much with tone as I like the tone from my P basses) and an XLR output for the backline?

I spotted this DHA model for example which is very utilitarian but maybe does what I need? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DHA-VT1-Std-Bass-ove...=item48390f60da Has anyone tried one of these? Edit: just seen it needs an external power supply which is not ideal, I prefer a battery powered pedal for convenience.
I have one of these, simple and a nice valve tone but no DI out so probably not what you are looking for.

  3. These are sitting on a shelf doing nothing so I should move them on.

  4. I have had a few octavers including a couple of OC-2's I now use an MXR that I really like as you have control over the growl but to be honest it's not worth the extra cash - stick with the excellent OC-2.

Pino on Gary Numan's I Assassin

    or

    Joan Armatrading's The Shouting Stage

    are worth a listen.

  5. Thanks everyone for their help on this, unless someone comes up with another option I think I'll start out by trying the Zoom, I prefer small pedals to multi effects but this is the cheapest route so it's got to worth a go. if it doesn't dp the job I'll try some of the other suggestions.

  6.
I think the only blend possible is on the octave down (the furthest light on the left), not sure why you'd want to blend the original signal into a step or two steps down etc.....would sound dreadful lol.

They look like they're coming in at about £149

Weirdly that's what I'm doing with the plug-in, the dropped signal is only on at 40% causing a kinda subtle chorus effect but without any added modulation. maybe it's just covering up my poor fretless technique :)

  7.
The Morpheus Droptune looks very impressive on guitar, seems to track full chords very well.

I'd be extremely interested to see if it worked on bass!

    Cheers Si,

That's a pretty impressive polyphonic pedal, any idea how much it cost? there was no mention of a blend control between the dropped and original tone which seems like an omission.
