  1. I seem to be using amps on stage less and less and this seems to be sitting around in my music room, plus add on fewer gigs for me in the interim due to personal reasons - I think it's time this went to a better home. QSC K12.2 - excellent condition and no issues. Comes with the tote bag and the locking power cable (although this is quite a short one - always meant to get a longer one!) No box or manual I'm afraid. I have a PA speaker box so will be able to look at postage but collection is preferred for obvious reasons. Postage with insurance won't be cheap in this instance. Amazing bit of kit for the FRFR route, extremely powerful and I ran it with my Microbass 3 and it gave me a punchy modern sound. I would also use it (very occasionally) as a vocal monitor as well. Presets built in for bass, this is very much the mack daddy of speakers used for bass if you are looking for a FRFR solution. The times I did use it, in front of me, wedged up, it was simple to set up, sounded great and had PLENTY of everything a bass player needs on stage. If I start doing regular gigs down the line again on stage, I will definitely be returning to one of these. I will add pictures later this evening when I get home, I jus wanted to get it listed - I won't bother adding stock pictures (it's easy to find online) and if you are looking then you know what these are and how good they are. I will highlight any scuffs or marks with pictures. I am looking to put the money into a new bass - in particular a 5 string Sadwosky Modern or Cort GB5 Modern (or something similar...) obviously I will add cash to the deal. Carl
  2. Hi, just a quick one... I am currently selling a QSC K12.2 active speaker that I use as an FRFR speaker - some people list them in Amps and Cabs for sale, others list them in Accessories and Other Musical stuff for sale. I have listed mine in amps and cabs. Can i list it in both? I just wondered that was all as it kinda fits either... Although I'm sure the same parties peruse both sections, I was just curious as to whether it was against forums rules? Thanks!

  4. I did a Tru-Oil finish on an Xotic bass a while back and can really recommend this approach. Wet sand with tru-oil will grain fill, and it's doesn't take long to start seeing some true lustre come through.
  5. Nope… just those options on the website. Contacted andertons and they are importing one for me for £10 plus £4 postage. Baffling….
  6. Here is another one for a bit of laugh... I enquired about a replacement black jack plate from Ernie Ball with Andertons and they told me that EB have opened up their online shop to international orders. Perfect! Can now order direct. So this is what I wanted: Taxes and duties would take it to around £10 - £11. All set to order one - until I saw the delivery costs: For something that could fit in a envelope? REALLY!?! Or am I deluded?
  7. The only thing is whether Andertons (sorting the order with EB) request me to send them the old bridge first before they post the new one… otherwise you may be right and call it a win!
  8. No idea as yet, the new one is on its way and should be here mid November so will find out soon…
  9. I used a water based paint stripper to get the top coat and stain off, then good old sanding to get the sealer coat off. That’s hard work, especially the corners and contours as you don’t want to go at those with a power sander as you can easily lose shapes and contours…. Anything flat you can power sand, anything contoured has to be done by hand. That’s what the luthier guy who did the refinish told me. This is nearly complete, I’m just waiting on the new bridge from EB which shold be here mid November! I can then do a final assembly and string it up!
  10. Aaaaaahhhh.... sorry just got there. It was a late night Thursday...
  11. Shure SE425 Pro IEM Headphones. Hardly used as I preferred my Westones in terms of fit (although sound was better in the Shures IMO.) Comes with the Shure case as per pics, and I have removed the (hardly) used tips, cleaned the buds and will include 2 bags of various tips with the headphones. There are cleaning tools, loads of foam tips and the standard tips as well. Mainly small and medium tips as I used the large ones. These are still £200 plus (£233/£239 in various online shops) so save yourself £100 on what are pretty much new headphones. PM me with any questions. Carl.

  12. As per title, great little guitar stand which folds up nice and small and neat. Very little use and you would be hard pressed to tell the difference from a new one. All foam is as new and everything clicks nicely into place. Comes with the bag. Currently £26-£28 online plus postage - £18.50 posted via RM tracked anyone?
  13. Basically a neat little gig back pack - 2 compartments in the middle and lots of pockets for storage. I bought this as I was doing some gigs down in 'Landan Tawn' and had to do some underground tubing across to venues. It was much easier than handfuls of bags. Although not in the pics, it does have the additional shoulder strap. Used about 4 times, it's pretty much as new. To buy a new one would cost you £41 from Thomann with postage. £23 posted to someone? This is the Thomann link
  14. It hasn’t currently but I have some sticky rubber pads that I could adhere to it to make a stage box?? Is that the intention??
  15. I am having a clear out and for some reason - many moons ago, bought a whole load of speakon connectors and high quality speaker cable. I need rid as I am skint! So, any length (I seem to have reels of the stuff!), connectors, number of - let me know and I can make them up for you and we can decide on a price. Speakon to Jack or Speakon to Speakon. Or if you want to buy some connectors or cable, give me a shout. A 1m speakon to speakon cable is £18 in G4M - I'm sure I can be cheaper than that! Picture is for illustrative purposes!
  16. Studiospares 8 mic and 4 jack (although 1 jack is missing for some reason!?) wall box - bought for a project and never used (I think was partially soldered and then removed) it's been sitting around since. Might suit a small project studio / drum room or for someone to salvage the connectors? Or could be used as a stage box! Just needs multi-core cable and someone with the patience to solder it up! £5 posted to you - it is quite heavy!
  17. Lexicon Alpha 2x2 USB Audio Interface. Quite old but still powers up and connnects - I don't have a working system to test it fully I'm afraid but I took it to work and connected it to a work PC and it connects and Windows 10 recognises it. No idea about Mac OSX or Win 11 I'm afraid. Should do someone a decent turn and will include the USB cable! Delivery - £3.50 via tracked RM.
  18. I was thinking that - I haven't signed anything. Andertons have ordered from EB so will see how it plays out.
  19. So I bit the bullet today and stuck £180 into a new bridge from Ernie Ball. It pained me to do it but after traipsing round metal finishers in the local area to be told, “no”, “I don’t think so” or “that will cost you more than 200 quid”, then trialling vinyl wrapping with black vinyl I gave up and admitted defeat. I’m not sure how the return of the old bridge will happen (maybe they might forget!) but will cross that bridge when I come to it. So it will have black hardware and will look cool when complete. i have no idea how long the bridge will take to come from EB in the US… but I have a couple of weeks wait for the tuners anyway so no hurry no worry as they say in Fiji. will update when items arrive!
  20. Genuine Musicman Stingray 5 tuners - 4 left and 1 right for the standard 4+1 setup but I do believe these can be reversed (will need to check that). It pains me to sell these, but I want to change from chrome to black on my SR5 and given that Ernie Ball are charging me nearly £200 for a black bridge, I have to recoup some costs! It perfect working order and good condition - the nickel has tarnished a little but I'm sure they will polish up (probably could do with a strip down, clean and re-grease anyway as they are nearly 30 years old). Will include postage in the price - if they don't sell I will keep them and bin my idea of going to black. Comes with the screws and bushes as per the picture. These are available online - B*** D***** have them for £40 each so that's about half price of new. Perfect for a MM style build!
  21. That is very, very nice... I think the chrome knobs and plate really work with the bridge to contrast the black... my SR5, because the scratch plate is black, knobs are black, to me it's crying out for some black hardware. Plus i has SR5 special a while back and loved the look of the black hardware on that - especially the headstock... The question is whether a chrome bridge will look weird with black tuners...
  22. I wouldn't mind an exchange, if it was an exchange price! £175 for a bridge is steep at the best of times...
