  6. I'm sure I nearly bought that once!
  7. Ah, but do you mean the traditional way (equal distance between saddle contact points, so greater space between the thinner strings) or the Phil Lesh way (actual equal distance between strings, so wider saddle spacing on the lower strings)?
  8. The Strain - Bonzos
  9. Sea Beast - Mastodon
  10. Hold Your Head Up - Argent
  11. The Precision sounded better on all examples to me. I like Stingrays but only when they're sitting in the mix a bit more - solo they sound a bit like a duck.
  12. Why's that?
  13. Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? - Chicago
  14. The Small Hours - Holocaust
  15. I'm So Tired - Los Paranoias
  16. Dog-Like Sparky - Cardiacs
  17. I saw QOTSA support the Foos at the Stratford Rex of all places, around the Rated R era. My main memory of them is Nick Oliveri playing a see-through Ampeg bass. I've never been a big fan but the Mrs likes them. Anyway, getting slightly back on topic, my former cover band had No One Knows in their set when I joined, but didn't think it necessary to drop tune to C. It sounded terrible and I refused to play it without tuning down.
  18. The German Guns - Baldrick
  19. That's no guilty pleasure, Marina is incredible!
  20. That Never Say Die concert is hilarious. Standard tuning but playing the riffs in the same position - so, on record, Symptom of The Universe riff is in E but played in C# tuning but suddenly jumps up to G in standard. Ozzy looks like he's going to give himself a hernia. I always thought Geezer's tuning matched Iommi's though...
  21. Charlie Don't Surf - The Workhorse Movement
