1. Hey, I've got an Alesis Protack direct to iPod recorded, its in as new condition.

I'm after as close to £120 as possible, they're £179 new, so save £59 and grab this one!

I'm open to trades, let me know what you got, a rack tuner plus cash from you would be great.

Sorry I don't have a picture of my actual one, but it is the same as this one, obviously iPod not included. I'll add pictures of my one if I get time in the week, questions welcome.

  2. Hey,

I recently got these off another basschatter, they're not really to my taste, so I'm going to move them on to someone who will enjoy them for they uses and worth!

SOLD!!! [s]The first is the EBS UniChorus, she's pretty much in mint condition, so no scratches or anything. Thomann's best price (They're usually Europes cheapest) is £152.89[/s] SOLD!!!

The second is the EBS Octabass, again this is in great condition, no scratches etc, best price I can find for this is £105.38

They come with a power supply (Not EBS but it is Roland, it's the right voltage etc) and all the patch cables to run them, you can attach another pedal to the line aswell, there's one spare power output. (9.99 best price!)

Also, they come with a Boss BCB-30 case, this will fit 3 pedals, so there one space left for another pedal. The top comes off so you can use it as a pedal board aswell as a safe hardcase. This is £25 from GAK (cheapest I could find).

[s]The UniChorus comes with its original box[/s], I dont have the Octabass box. All in all this set up would be [s]£293.26 [/s] £140.37 new.

Just to recap, this sale/trade is now JUST for the EBS Octabass, Boss case and power supply!

I'm not really after cash, unless thats all you have! I'd rather trade the lot for a decent multi effects unit. Prefferably a rack mounted line 6 bass pod, a rack case for it would secure the trade! Will consider a decent bass in exchange aswell. Really if you have anything you think I might be interested in, then hit me up! PM, text or phone, number below!

Let me know your offers! 07912222127 to talk, I'm in essex and can post, shouldn't be more than a tenner UK wide.

    Cheers, Russ.

  4. Yeah, ive got a nice little collection of pics from 1st stage wood choices to the final product, which i must say, although it came out an amazing instrument it took fred 2 YEARS to build.

Oh and its tuned in 5ths all the way down from low F#, B, E, A..... you get the idea!

Ill try and post a vid on youtube of its sounds, looks whilst in play etc, and ill try and do a dood and chuck up a build diary.

Heres some extra pics to tempt those who KNOW they want one of these build for themselves!

  5. Jean Baudin, he really got me into the style I love playing, and he had a slight had in helping me design pickup/body shape for my bass.

Yves Carbonne, because I love the fact you can hear his heart and soul has gone into his work.

Stu Hamm, because he's the sonofabitch that got me into overhand tapping... the hateful fiend!

(lets pretend its your 4 most influential players! No. 4: Dominc DiPiazza, you can hear his roots, his finger style is incredible and his lines are fast and smooth.)

Three (four) MASSIVE noodlers, but theyre skills, styles, music, basses and backlines have had a big impact in what I play both in music and in instrument. 13 may have been young to get into crazy-ass bass players, but I love the fact I did, 10 years later i still love it!

so screw all you noodle haters! (joke!)

    Russ.

  6. Hey,

Potentially got just the one cab left!

The 1x15 cab is a classic series superfly cab rated at 400w at 4 ohms. The serial number is 25816-1997, it was made in the UK in 2007. The speaker is a custom Neodymium bass driver which means for its size it can handle a lot of bass! It has 2 speakon ports at the rear and has 2 carry handles, one on its right side and one on its left. It weighs about 2 stone but I have no issues carrying it in one hand, its covering is black tolex and the grill is silver with the superfly logo on it. The cabs condition is very very good, could almost be new

£175 is a great price for this, is nearly new condition and they are £359 new if you can find them. super loud and super punch for such a small light cab.

May be interested in trades, preferrably a line 6 bass pod xt live floor or rack.

    07912222127 for offers/interest.

  7. I PM'd MB1 back with that, but for anyone else wanting to know i think the minimum i'd take for the pair is £550, they are available new from gear4music at £359 and £349 each (£708 total new) and these boys are in very near mint/new condition. So i think the price is fair.

Im open to offers for trade, but only cabs and head please, if you have a rig you want rid of to downsize, then i may make up the difference with cash.

    Cheers!

  8. now on ebay.... heres the description and link... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=STRK:MESELX:IT

    Hey there,

Up for auction is my Ashdown classic series Supfly rig.

Included in the auction is the 2x250w (500w) Ashdown superfly head, a 500w 2x8" Superfly cab, a 400w 1x15" Superfly cab, 2 jack to speakon cables, 1 power lead and a soft padded case for the Superfly head.

The head is a split 2x250w output through 2 cabs at 4 ohms, which basically means that whens using it with the cabs included in the auction, you'll be able to produce the full 500w of power, and for such a small and portable rig those 500w really packs a big punch!

Right, heres a breakdown of the head, as said its a 2x250w configuration, and on the rear you'll find a D.I. (direct input) with a post/pre switch, a send/return effects loops, a USB input and a MIDI input with a USB/MIDI switch to toggle between the two, a standard line output an AC input and 2 speaker outputs, so if you want versitility, its deffinatly available here!

On the front you'll find the instrument input, the input gain control with LED monitoring, a 7 bar digital LED graphic EQ interface with tweek controls for each bar, allowing you to fine tune your EQ to whatever you choose, it has an EQ bypass and a 'Store' button allowing you to store you favoured EQ as a preset. It also has a compression ratio toggle, so you can edit that element of your sound too. It has an 'edit program' button allowing you to edit a preset, and an exit button to come out of the program editing suite. With the preset controls you can toggle between factory preset EQ's or your own saved EQ settings, it has a signal level dial with LED output monitoring and finally a power switch.

So thats everything to tell you about the head, for such a small beast it does alot right!

The 2x8 cab is matching to the head, its a classic series superfly cab rated at 500w at 4 ohms. The serial number is 25608-0807, it was made in the UK in 2007. Both the speakers are custom Neodymium bass drivers which means for their size they can handle a lot of bass! It has 2 speakon ports at the rear and has a carry handle on its right side and is very easy to carry in one hand, its covering is black tolex and the grill is silver with the superfly logo on it. The cabs condition is very very good, could almost be new.

The 1x15 cab is matching to the head and its brother cab, its a classic series superfly cab rated at 400w at 4 ohms. The serial number is 25816-1997, it was made in the UK in 2007. The speaker is a custom Neodymium bass driver which means for its size it can handle a lot of bass! It has 2 speakon ports at the rear and has 2 carry handles, one on its right side and one on its left. It is heavier than its brother, but I have no issues carrying it in one hand, its covering is black tolex and the grill is silver with the superfly logo on it. The cabs condition is very very good, could almost be new.

The extras are a black padded case for the Superfly head and 2 speakon to jack cables with one power cable. Basically everything you need to get going with a bass of your choice.

Just incase your worried about how to set this up, its very easy, plug both jacks into the speakon ports on the head (yes, jacks do fit into speakon ports!) and then plug each speakon end of the cables into both cabs, its doesnt matter which port they go into, just dont plug two heads into one cab! I also feel it necassery to say that this rig has been used with my 10 string bass, so it can handle low F# (one lower than a B on a 5 string) and a high C (nearly as high as a bottom E string on a guitar) So it can handle anything you throw at it happily!

As a combine unit it will be hard to post, but i will do my best to arrange courier (probably DHL) at your cost, but pick up is deffinatly preferred. I may be able to meet you somewhere not to far from me, Im in south east essex.

Any questions I will do my best to answer, I'm on 07912222127 if you want to discuss.

    Thanks, Russ.
