6. Straight forward dude! 'must be a good bass player!!'
7. Tricky.... I was initially favouring the Black one (familiar ground) but Alan was kind enough for me to try the white one as well which was different to my other basses but well versatile too so I was in a heavy dilemma!! Unfortunately I had a change of circumstance.....so both are available. Hopefully more guys can/will try them and all can be revealed!
8. They are both great, different but some similar tones can be found as well. The Black one (0103 J Type 5HU) is a more typical jazz bass with sounds from jaco (tight finger funk) to marcus (slap etc...) with added benifits (carved neck, lightweight......) The White one (0098 J Type 5HP) is naturally warmer and can do the 'motown' thing easilly but still can be 'slap' ready. Its like a more versatile 'P' bass (with 'J' p/ups). Hard to choose between them but it depends on your style. (taste too if looks are important...:-) Good luck deciding!!
9. Both still here! If you need viewing more details....contact me!

11. Nordstrands could be soon going..... (cross fingers) EMG's are waiting on a good home
12. Collection from Aylesbury. (Or dependant on whre you are I can deliver on the way to a gig...)
13. [s]Hi, For 3/4 size instruments. Made by 'Superior Instrument Cases', San Franciscisco. In black and in great condition with no rips/tears, all zips working etc....and folds away easily for storage (at home or on gigs). Big and hard to photo properly so my best depcription follows.... The 'Superior' bag is padded with the same material inside as outside, with dual zips going from below the headstock to the bottom and a padded 'exit hole' for the end pin. There is a wide rear pocket, front bow pocket and smaller prominent front pocket. I will include the strap I used to carry the instrument. Collection preferred or I can package and post for a bit extra.....[/s] [s]NOW SOLD[/s]
14. These are the Nordstrand dimensions (same a s EMG 45's) Nordstrand DC5 custom set (parallel): These pickups are available in two different versions. One set is designed to be wired in parallel, and the other is designed to be wired in series. The reason we do this is that a pickup that is made to sound good wired parallel will usually be too hot and dark sounding if wired in series. So, we put less wire on series dual coils than parallel dual coils. In general, a pickup wired in series will have a fuller and fatter midrange with a subdued high end than a pickup wired in parallel, which will typically have more highs and a deeper low end with a cleaner midrange. Series pickups also have more output than parallel pickups. Parallel pickups generally are a better choice for a split-able installation as there will not be the gain loss associated with series style pickups. NOTES: The Nordstrand can only be used with 5 string bass (as it has pole pieces). (No extras came with these) Nordstrand are in EMG 45 housing style (4.5" x 1.5"), 2 screw mount, String spacing is 20mm at bridge (make sure your bass can do this width!) Switching possible (Nords can do single/dual/series/parallel) Pro stuff and incredible. I tried various brands and these were among the best butI needed something specific and settled on another pair so these are not needed. Please read up to get full details on them and hope someone will get to buy/try/use for a lower cost. Asking: £200 posted!! Lets keep this quick and painless boys....
