1. Yeh, he is shipping to the UK now he is back in California When i bought this bass (when they made them in China) they didn't ship to the UK.
2. I will take trades on it for a set of average Studio monitors or WHY Still looking for £220 posted.
3. I don't think i'll be leaving it to run till' next year. IF it doesn't go on here in the next week or so i'll ebay it
4. Unfortunately the 2 people that were interested in this have both bought other basses now. I can't condemn them tho' as I have done the same thing myself I am still looking for £220 posted. That is posted via CityLink couriers next day. It really is a great bass this folks i just need to money
5. Hey Folks, The pedal is has the odd we chip but is in very very good condition, never gigged and works perfectly. The only reason i am selling is because at this present time i am not using it all that much and i need money This particular pedal is pretty 'special'. Although it is a standard re-issue Dunlop MXR Phase 90 it has been personally modified by '' The FX Doctor'' at www.fxdoctor.com In short the 'script' mod reverts the pedal back to it's original 70's spec bringing back the ''warmth and clarity'' Also, a true bypass switch has been added aswell as an extremely bright blue LED I am selling it for £75 posted.
6. I was thinking that the option of fitting a D-tuner and the Dimarzio WILL power pups is open to me anyway. I'd probably not get on very well with the scalloped frets anyway. I am going to contact the bloke and see if he'll take my offer
7. I have an SR496, it has a BQS preamp and EMGs fitted. It is such a good quality instrument for the money and it sounds incredible with the new electronics. Ok so EMGs aren't the most versatile pup but with some tweaking of the knobs it doesn't take much to find a tone to suit most styles I believe it is a mahogany body with a Wenge and Bubinga neck, similar to a lot of SRs. Unfortunately the 496 never really took off and the 506 pretty much just came in and took over the show. Shame.
8. It is just the fact that it doesn't have the Dimarzios pups, i am thinking that it is an inferior model ? However, £300, surely i can't go wrong ?
9. Hey folks, A chance at a Yamaha Attitude custom (the one with the woofer pup under the PG and the piezo transducers in the bridge) has came up and at a really low price ( £300 ) I am wanting opinions on these basses pretty quickly if possible How does it differ from the other variants ? I believe it doesn't have scalloped upper frets, what else does it lack when compared to the other models ? Thanks for any help Jamie
10.
Don't sell it that cheaply! I have personally been offered £300 for mine, and it's EXACTLY the same as yours, so there are people out there that want them! Stick it on the bay with a reserve, advertise it in one of the "Ad-Mag" type papers, or even shove it on Loot. It's worth a lot more-don't panic!
I think you should sell it that cheap ... to me Still can't believe you've not sold it yet I am on the market for 4 string at the mo' too I didn't exactl have one of these in mind tho'
11. No worries, there is sure to be someone out there that will have this!
12. I am willing to negotiate a price
13.
How much does this cost as new out of interest? What kind of styles of music does it suit? Can this be used for metal? I could do with a decent backup bass and this looks the nuts! Oh yeah and what details can you possibly give me on the neck? Is it like a warwick? A jazz? A P? ETC
I bought this brand new, from a second party as the company don't ship to the UK. This is one of a handful that are in the UK. I've yet to see another on basschat! TBC are now producing their basses in the US, the guy is literally only making one of each model every month. They are priced at $400 now brand new, so including shipping to the UK and VAT/customs charges i think you could get a brand new one for about £350 direct from the US, i think he even ships to the UK now. The chinese made ones are exactly the same as the american ones, he will use the same parts and everything, the only difference now will be it is assembled by a couple of American blokes rather than a dozen Chinese folk. I guess i would have to compare the 2 basses side by side to be able to give an accurate comparison of the two tho' I myself use the bass for metal, i have recorded all of my bands tunes on it: www.myspace.com/sternchase The neck is a very similar profile to that of a Jazz bass, might be a wee tad thinner... Hope that helps.
14. I am still looking to sell this. Since originally posting the advert i have got a 6 string so I don't have as strong an interest in the TBC now. I will maybe accpet trades or part-exchanges but ideally i am looking for £250
15.
Sir - You always crack me up!!! :-) Rich
yes he is indeed funny, i just get pissed of with him always putting MB1 at the start of every post I have never heard of vester before now, it certianly looks nice. If i was looking for another 4 banger i'd have it Good Luck with the sale
16. I will include postage in the £250
17.
That's quite lovely for £250 & worth bearing in mind that if they'd ever imported these into the UK, they'd probably cost about twice that amount. Jon.
Your making me think i should perhaps hold on to it
18. I bought the bass from a guy in Seattle who was prepared to ship it to me He bought 10 of them from TBC apprently. This was un-used by him. I believe as soon as he bought them he sold the majority. This offer is still open btw
