  1. Well now here is a lovely Orange Fleabass, brand new in its gigbag. Bought it for a laugh and to use in church to brighten up these dismal winter mornings.
    BUT... my wife said she will brighten up MY sunday mornings if I take it. I don't think she means in a nice way though. :lol
    So it's up for sale.
    Spec:

    striking bass from Flea himself.

    The Model 32 bass from Flea Bass, designed to Flea's own specifications, is professionally set up and tested by technicians to deliver excellent sustain and rich tone. Its solid alder body's dual cutaways make for easy access to the higher frets, and its chrome bridge/tailpiece is fully adjustable. The Model 32's solid maple neck with rosewood fingerboard has a smooth satin finish for superb playability. To seal the deal, the matching headstock features Flea's autograph and signature doodles.

    Flea Bass Model 32 Bass Features:

    * 34" scale, 20-fret electric bass
    * Professionally set up by technicians to meet Flea's specs
    * Alder body
    * Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard
    * Adjustable chrome bridge/tailpiece
    * Matching headstock with Flea's autograph and signature doodles

    Flea Bass Model 32 Bass Includes:

    GIGBAG.

    I paid 350 for it, you can bur the blue one on ebay for £297 so I'd like £260 for it if anyone's interested. Not really going to take less for it.

    Thanks for reading.

  2. Just seen this thread and managed 14 or so pages then jumped to the end.

    I like Fender Jazz's, I play in a church and the tones fit in with the rest of the band, (keyboards, drums & a couple of electro acoustics)
    Also like my stingrays, just the 2eq's
    I have 2 Corts, a GB74 and a GB94. Really nice to play and I love slim necks.

    Don't like:

    Warwick, chunky neck. Bit phallic looking.
    Octavers, don't seem to work properly on the E.
    Marshall bass combo's suck big time.
    multi effects.

    All imo :)

  3. Right, I have the usual bass players problem, too many bass's and no money left so I'm going to sell a few of the 16 or so that I own.

    I'll start with the Yammy BB614. Spec is:

    Construction: Bolt-on neck.

    Scale Length: 864mm (34").

    Fingerboard: Rosewood.

    Frets: 21 Large.

    Radius: 250mm (10").

    Body: Alder.

    Neck: Maple.

    Tuners: Open type.

    Bridge: Vintage Style.

    Pickups: 2 Split single coil, 1 Soapbar single coil.

    Controls: Speed Knobs for Master Volume, Balancer, Trebl, Bass Mid Cut Frequency.

    Tiny ding on the upper bout, almost invisible.
    Rest of the guitar is mint, I look after my stuff. Old violin burst was discontinued 2 years ago so this colour is hard to find.

    Have to say the bass control on this will seriously rattle your windows.
    I'm now in my 'maple' phase so my roesewood bass's have to go. :)

    Am I the only person that finds maple necks easier to play?

    Price wise these are £379 online but not in this colour so I'd like £260 for this one with a nice gigbag, carriage about 12 quid.

    Thanks for looking

    Tom.

  4. Morning all, I recently acquired a Mex P bass that someone has fitted a Gotoh bridge to and the action is too high for comfort and it won't go any lower because the saddles are as low as they can go.

    I'm not clever enough to risk shimming the neck so the question is, would filing the barrels be a viable option?
    Excuse my ignorance but I'm a novice with doing this stuff. Alternatively are smaller barrels available?

    (I did successfully shield my CIJ Jaguar with help from here)

    Any advice very much appreciated.

  5. Hiya, here for sale is my Vintage V1004 in cherry sunburst maple. Absolutely as new condition, 4 months old.

    Spec & write up here:
