1. Thanks for the input guys, this has turned into an interesting thread. I knew John Rackham who owned Wesley and have bought quite a few of his instruments over the years. His setup guy is Annie Lennox's bass player apparently, and he does a hell of a job. They do a Monarch natural bass for about £90 and there's nothing to touch it for the money, it's great!

Heard of Johnny Brook but not had one..yet :)

  2. On sale here:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tokai-RG4001-Rickenb...=item5d2791d1a1

Seriously considering one of these because my divorce will be very painful if I buy a real one. Appreciate any feedback from anyone who has/had one.

    Thanks, Tom.

  3. Anyone ever bought one of these for a project? No brainer for 49 quid isn't it? or £61 delivered

His guitars are junk usually but a P copy?

  4. I can recommend Nigel Stockbridge in Richmond, North Yorks.

I've had a lot of work done over the years though not on bass's. He can repair or set up anything, very clever man who deals with a lot of famous people.

Also Steve Suggitt. Lives in West Ayton near Scarborough is another luthier I have used. He builds all kinds of guitars and does repairs and setups. Very talented man.

    And finally, Martin Dixon

    http://web.ukonline.co.uk/mdguitars/

Can do anything. I've seen bass's that he's made and they are simply stunning! He's in Otley near Leeds.

    Hope that helps.

    Tom.

  5. Something odd here, the red wording and picture backgrounds are a bit familiar, check this out:

I've dealt with David and he's a decent bloke.

  6. Here is my EB Stingray in natural with maple neck.

Immaculate condition, no discernable fretwear, just a super bass with a great action and complete with it's hardcase. I think it's about 4 years old.

For sale because I have 2 and I have bad gas for a certain members Jazz DL.

£680 plus any carriage, if anyone's near enough & interested, your welcome for coffee and a play of it.

    You won't be disappointed.

    Thanks for looking.

  7. Sold.

Hi, I have an as new Nokia 5800, received as an upgrade, used for 3 days, hate it cos it's touch screen and I'm old and arthritic.
Comes with the usual kit, can't find the instruction book as yet but should do before it's sold.

Boxed and on Orange at the moment but they can be unlocked cheaply.

    Happy new Year to all.

    Tom.
