1. Sorry mate, I can only trade for the cash... I need to pay for a bass from ebay :-)
2.
Hi is this one of the smaller case versions ?!!!
No, the "older" version. Still only 6 months old :-)
3. Hi All, As well as my Combo and Tone Hammer, a severe case of GAS means that my Aguilar Octamizer also has to go. It's about 6 months old and in immaculate condition. It's spent the last 6 months attached to my pedal board so it has a piece of velco on the bottom. The box is included as is the spare screw supplied by Aguilar. I'm happy to post to Europe/US at cost. Alternatively, you can collect it from me in North Kent. If you've any questions then please ask.
4. Hi All, I'm selling my Hartke Kickback combo. It's the 120 watt, 1x15 model and is in good condition. IMG_1262 by Doug Idle, on Flickr The handle has split unfortunately but it's still attached and working. Untitled by Doug Idle, on Flickr I'm asking for £200 for it - I've gigged this a few times and it stands up well against a couple of Marshall 4x12 stacks. I'm in North Kent and would prefer someone to pick it up but if you want to arrange for someone to collect and deliver it at your own expense that's fine with me. Any questions, please ask.
5. Hi All, I'm selling my Aguilar Tone Hammer DI pedal. It's boxed and includes a power supply. I'm asking for £130 - you can either pick it up from me in North Kent or have it posted at your expense (it's quite heavy). It's in good condition and has only been used a few times. I can't see any scratches and it doesn't have any dents. It sounds absolutely incredible for either recording or going direct into a PA. 6. Hi All, I'm selling my Boss ME8-B. It's in fair condition for it's age. This is my second one of these, I missed my old one I had to get another. I'm not making enough use of it to warrant keeping it so it's time to move it on. The original power supply is included but there's no manual other than a printout of the pdf. There's some scuffing on the top in the middle but otherwise it's in good condition although I've found it changes patches randomly if you're over energetic on stage I'm asking for £80 + postage (or you can pick it up from Rochester in Kent). Any questions, please ask. Cheers, Doug
7. I would have expected it to revert to Mono if only 1 output is connected but I'm pretty confident it's not in this case. I can definately hear the sound level drop and then return - it's quite noticeable. I'll try the other output later on - I'm not sure if I've tried that before. The mixer idea sounds like a good one and isn't something I'd thought about before. I'll look into that once I've exhausted the other options. Thanks!
8. Hi All, In my GNR tribute, some kind of chorus is pretty much mandatory. I found myself a Yamaha SPX90 in excellent condition a few months ago (as used by Duff McKagan in the original band). The problem I have is that the Yamaha has a pair of stereo outputs. It's two chorus settings don't have any option to pan both sides to one output meaning that unless I run two amps I can only get 1 side of the effect. This means that every few seconds part of my sound disappears. I could quite easily knock up (or buy) a cable that would take both outputs from the Yamaha and feed them into the single input from my amp. Are there are issues with doing that other than an increase in volume? Cheers, Doug
9. I have the Fusion 550 (the larger version of the light weight Fusion 500 mentioned above) with NEO 115 and 210 cabinets. I love it and I wouldn't trade it for any other amp. If you want to hear it, I'll be playing at The Horn in St. Albans on Saturday night.
10.
Then mine are up for grabs. But I must thank Jason for stepping forward with his offer!!
If you still have these then I would be happy to take them off your hands. I recently had a dead A-string in a pack of Rotosound Nexus which Jason replaced, no questions asked within a couple of days. As others have already said, the customer service is really good. Cheers, Doug
11. Hi Chris, I know this thread has been dead for a while but I've been looking at doing the same thing recently (for the same reason :-) ). I tried using double sided cellotape but the grip was so good I couldn't get the picks off! Could you share how you made the clip please? Are you using a binders you can buy for documents or something better? Do you have any left for sale? Cheers, Doug
12. Here's some pics of mine (which I was trying to sell a few months ago): It has a rather large (about 1" long) chip to the paint work that I repaired a long time ago (with pva glue I think!): It has a couple of other small knocks but is otherwise in good condition. There's some fading to the gold plating but all the electrics still work and the bass sounds and plays really nicely. One of the original pots was broken at some point but I had it replaced and the cavity screened at the same time. I bought it new, the summer I started University ('94), for £349 from Eddie Moors in Boscombe - still got the receipt! I've no idea how it compares to a Status but I was always very happy with it. Cheers, Doug
13. An old thread I know, I'm surprised there are only 4..... Anyway, here's my Duff sig along with myUS P and Warwick Streamer. I bought the bass a couple of months ago, when I started a GNR tribute with some friends. When we start getting some gigs I'd like to get an original 80s one and mod it up to Duffs specs like Chris did. Cheers, Doug
14. Josef bought my Takamine acoustic bass off me. He sorted out the postage to the Czech Republic and was polite and helpful while we sorted everything out. He is welcome to buy from me again and I would also buy from him. He's a top guy! Cheers, Doug
15. I've got one of these. They are awesome pieces of gear and really difficult to find in the UK. Somebody snap this one up - you'll not regret it!
16. Now dropped to £400. Snap this up before I take my chances on eBay. Cheers, Doug
17.
Could be interested if my Warmoth Jazz sells next week.
Thanks, it doesn't look like it's going anywhere in the immediate future.
