  1. Yamaha TRB 5 Mk2, MIJ. Probably mid nineties. Bought by me from a BC'er about three years ago for (IIRC) £475. Very light use since then. I'm not 100% on the finish description, but "light honey with figuring" seems right. 35 inch scale; very solid B string. Nearly-new DR Sunbeam 45-125s. The neck is straight, and the set up is low/medium. It's no lightweight, but not a total anchor for a five; probably about 4.7kg. Very few dints, perhaps one or two.. Nothing serious, either cosmetically or functionally. However there are minor, and completely fixable, issues on this bass. The jack socket is a bit loose, and the centre detentes of the pots are very worn. It was like this when I bought it (unmentioned by the seller) and in practice is not an issue. Because Yamaha still make the TRBs, I'm told that replacement pots shouldn't be an issue. Selling for £400. Given the extremely reasonable price for such a solid, pro-quality bass, collection is preferred. With appropriate social distancing measures, etc. HOWEVER, I've found a bass box and a spare gig bag, so courier is possible.
  2. Very straightforward to find replacement guards for a regular Jazz, but for my Deluxe the web is coming back with nothing. Admittedly, the bass is an old one (a '98 - I prefer the earlier small body ones), and it's no biggie, but I quite fancy a black or tort plate instead of its original mint green one. Anyone know? Thanks.
  3. SOLD, subject to the usual. Thanks for all the interest.
  4. London or SE England...😊 I'm in Kingston. Work is really tough at the mo (I'm involved in the Covid 19 outbreak), so the closer the better please.
  5. Bad experiences in the past.
  6. ACG Recurve "Helium" fretless (no.220), purchased new by me in November 2015. Priced for a rapid sale. This bass has been sold (by me) before on BC, and then bought back when I had the opportunity. I really don't want to sell it now, but the bills demand otherwise. It is very light, around the 3.2kg mark. Full spec and good photos on Alan's site here: http://www.acguitars.co.uk/project/0220fretlessrecurve4-2-2-2/ Twin single coils, DFM4K preamp, Hipshot hardware, and an ebony board which is almost 1cm thick. In excellent, almost new condition, supplied with the original Fusion padded gigbag it arrived in. Almost new DR Sunbeam nickelwounds, 45-105. Pickup preferred, meet in London or SE England possible, courier at buyer's arrangement and cost please. I will not ship this bass outside the UK. Thanks.
  7. Off hold and back on for £800. No trades please.
  8. Hup. Don't really need to sell now, but offers entertained.
  9. I don't really need to sell this now, but I play less and less, so let's bump it. And feedback thread here. Turns out I've been buying and selling stuff on BC for a decade..
