1. haha, well it's a fantastic bass! you're more than welcome to come and try it out!
2. For sale is my Dean Sledgehammer 4. Unfortunately due to lack of funds/job, i'm having to sell this! It has an incredibly punchy tone and is very powerful, not to mention an incredibly fast neck! Dean Say: "A completely unique vibe and a punchy tone come together to set the Sledgehammer apart from the pack. The body is shaped from solid swamp ash, and left untouched colour-wise to let the lush grain show through. The maple neck and fingerboard are also left in their natural state." Specs on http://www.gak.co.uk...gehammer-4/1484 the bass has hardly been played and has a couple of dings (see pictures) which in no way affect playability. Gak price it for £369, so shall we say £250 with a hardcase? offers accepted! Feel free to ask questions
3. picture added, although my camera decided to constantly blur it, i have no idea why!
4. well, i think that the bass plays very well!! i prefer a low action, so this is really a fast bass. the electronics are all sound and balanced very well (like most btbs) and it's massive live, due to the active nature of the btb. You can't really go wrong if you want clarity either, as you can dial the bass/mid/treble to whichever sound you'd prefer. The fretless neck teamed with the flatwounds also produce a darker tone as expected, so if you already have your own 676, then a fretless 406 is quite nice to combine with your 676, because then you'd have most of your bases (no pun intended) covered when it comes to appropriate style and tone. also it's just really good fun to mess around with! i'll add the pictures for you tomorrow!
5. For sale is my Ibanez BTB 406QM Fretless bass. Unfortunately due to lack of funds/job, i'm having to sell this bad boy! It was originally a fretted bass, which i bought on this very forum, however i had the neck de-fretted and it plays wonderfully! Ibanez Say: The concepts behind boutique basses are often justification for making them extremely expensive. With the advent of the BTB, Ibanez decided that these same concepts of well-selected body materials, 35" neck scale, and deep cutaways could be applied to an instrument that anyone could afford. The BTB Series comes with a fuller body and neck, with more passive pickups for better quality tone and sustain. Also, BTB basses feature Neutrik locking jacks and Monorail II bridges so the strings are independent, and do not interfere with each other as they vibrate. If it's subtlety you're going for, the studio-quiet Vari-Mid 3B EQ allows you to modify and color your tones as much or as little as you want. And don't forget about the 18 volt circuitry that provides much greater headroom than found on standard active EQs. http://www.electromu...6-6-string.html the bass has no real dings and is in very good condition, retails for £475 with frets, mods cost £100, i'd be looking for about £280. Any takers?
6. For sale, we have possibly the best bass i have owned and it hurts to do this, (curse ye unemployment) my Ibanez BTB676 Natural finish. Where to start? Aesthetically this bass is gorgeous and in near perfect condition, it has a few small dings, but none that affect the playability whatsoever! This bass sounds monstrous! it has the most phenomenal sustain i've had the pleasure of experiencing and the variety from the EQ is brilliant, you can play in any style with this bass. anyway, i'll list the statistics from gak, because i'm sure you don't want to see me list the things i love about this bass. "The Ibanez BTB676 six-string bass guitar is packed with professional features including a neck-thru construction, walnut and light ash wing body and deeper cutaways, enhancing playability and delivering perfect balance. BTB basses take the traditional BTB formula--massive body and substantial neck-- and move it forward. BTBs continue to have the right mix of select woods and high-tech appointments that provide the huge tones and sustain that BTB players have come to love. The BTB676 has a walnut/light ash wing body, comfortable 5-piece 'neck-thru' BTB6 maple/bubinga neck, a rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays and 24 medium frets. The MR-2 bridge keeps the tuning stability rock solid. The Ibanez BTB 676 also features Bartolini MK2 pickups and onboard 3-band eq with separate bass, mid and treble boost/cut control knobs for incredible tonal variety. The BTB676 delivers all the quality you expect from Ibanez at the right price. http://www.gak.co.uk...ural-flat/18572 In summation, i highly recommend this bass, and if it weren't for the fact that i need money...i would keep it in a heartbeat! Now, price, i would value it high above the RRP, but i know that's not going to be very useful. Gak lists it at £759 down from £911, so how about £650 collected ono?
7. For sale, we have a crafter BA400 EQ Electro Acoustic Fretless, which i have to sell on due to lack of funds! It's a great bass to play around with, evenly balanced and sounds fantastic plugged in as well! the bass is in great condition, so even though the picture i have attached is poor quality, i can assure you that it looks like this: http://www.gak.co.uk...tless-bass/1398 i'd be looking for around £220 for this, gak are doing this for £359 on sale from £449, so the way i see it, everyone's a winner! Comes with Softcase, i'd rather not post, you know...as it's an acoustic and all! Any questions, please feel free to PM or ask on this thread!
8. Well i have an Ibanez BTB405, which i'm looking to move on, also i have a Spector Performer 5. The Ibanez plays well, but i'll need to fine tune it before i let anyone have it. I love the spector, but i don't give it enough attention anymore! If either of those tickle your fancy, please let me know, because i've just fallen in love with the SR series. I know you said that you only really want 5 strings, but i do have some four stringers, which i'm looking to sell on/trade if you're interested!
9. what sort of 5ers would you be looking to trade for? very interested...i would ask for pictures...but my phone doesn't have internet:)
10.
Older 8x10 cabinet from the 80's - most model numbers are scratched off but it has only one input in the back compared to the newer ones and it sounds incredible. Vinyl tolex torn alot, i am the second owner. £450 Must pick up or will consider trades for 4 10 4ohm ampegs that are newer or same value
hi, do you have any pictures?
11.
Well, a 35"er would definitely be more my thing. What sort of condition is the Spector in? I think I'd prefer to trade up for a Spector (like an LX or something) rather than for one of their lower range instruments, but I'd be interested in seeing some pics if you can get any?
It's in very good condition, the only mark to speak of is just behind the bridge, but is only there if you look for it.
12.
Hey dude, Not too keen on the btb 405, but could be tempted by the Spector....what scale length is it?
it's 35", i don't have any actual pictures at the moment but i can get some if you are interested
13. would you take an ibanez btb 405 or a spector performer 5?
