These were bought by me some time ago in a lovely shade of green.
Overwound resistance 8.32 and 8.94 ohms in swamp green.
Beware. Having such strong magnets can affect the action if you like it low.

I'm trying to improve the photos by using Google Photos to share, plus adding a photo of the Tort plate laid over the top.

Success methinks. As you can now see, it's a stunning example.

I didn't know you used these Peter! They are one cab I'd like to have tried but rare as hen's teeth.

Lovely cab. I have a pair. Surprised it hasn’t been snapped up.

I am of course open to reasonable offers for this bass that punches well above its weight imo.
Shipping wise I’d consider it with the neck removed (but in the box) -

It is with a heavy heart that I put this bass up for sale. Having owned well over 100 basses including many boutique brands I have to say that this Jazz really is a bit special.
I bought it from BCer Nick Carey some years past. It was his main gigging bass and he had Mr Robinson of Bolton do a fret dress and setup from new. Hipshot tuners were also fitted.
It comes with a bright white pick guard and a red tort plate (that I need to lay hands on). It is a beautiful cream/off white and the condition is quite superb as hopefully the photos show.
I fitted the Gotoh bridge which went on as if it was made for the bass, which is was. No height adjustment needed. The original is also available. The electrics have also been upgraded to CTS pots and high quality capacitors.
The playability and tone are remarkable. I did try alternative after market pickups but they weren't as good as the originals that swiftly went back in.
I've no spare case for the bass so local collection or meet-up is much preferred. I'm in the NW (Kendal) not far from the M6.
Strung with low mileage Dunlop flats and it has Dunlop strap pins.
It's quite light too at about 9ib.
Reason for sale? I've moved to 32" scale and my 2 Zoots do the job nicely.
Would consider trade for LMII or similar.

Reasonable offers considered. I’m looking at another pedal and I’d like to sell this before the other unit goes.

I bought a great Ritter gig bag from Stu. Lovely cuppa and a real pleasure.
I also bought hi iStomp a couple of weeks back. Perfect in every way.
A pleasure Stu.

I bought a stunning Zoot Funkmeister Jazz, medium scale from Mark.
Catching up after many years was a pleasure and the bass is something very special.
A pleasure.

Thank you Mark. It was a real pleasure and the bass is perfect.

Probably a typo but it takes a 9V supply.
Great preamp pedal! I was very happy with mine. GLWTS.You are right. I knew that there was an issue with the psu and that’s the large current drawn making the standard brick unsuitable. I was looking at another pedal yesterday and that had a 12v supply hence my confusion.

Here's my EBS Microbass 3 unit, details here:
https://ebssweden.com/content2/effects/ebs-microbass-3-professional-outboard-preamp/
It's in unmarked condition and comes with the original box and 9v PSU.
Velcro applied to rear.
Now I'm using only active basses I've no use for this great pre-amp.
Fully functional. Viewing in Kendal welcome. I have much positive feedback on BC over the years.

I believe that there is a lot of hyperbole around pickups. There is only so much you can do with wire and magnets. There is little if any 'magic'.
I'm very pleased with my Haessel pickups. I have a medium scale bass with their P pickups and it's very strong while retaining a great tone. It's a great signal to start with and sounds good both passive and active.
I like, a lot

I have one in the sparkling Burgundy I moved the strap pin and fitted ultra-lite hipshot's, the original tuners did the bass no favours. Balances much nicer now overall. Haven't felt the need to change the bridge yet. Enjoy your bass.
Thank you. The balance perhaps varies a little from instrument to instrument. I've played worse. 1990 era NT Warwick Thumbs come to mind

Some pics of Babicz/Hipshot mounted on page 8...
Thank you Matt. I’ve succumbed to a long held longing for a JCB. It’s a new red one and if you know me at all you’ll know I have no qualms modding a new bass getting it how I want it.
I think I prefer the Babitz over the Hipshot. Babitz confuse the issue by making a hard to get hold of Epiphone version to accommodate the raised collars on the Epi’s inserts. Mine barely has any raised portion.
Mine is really good quality wise. I’ve lowered the bridge a great deal and fitted Dunlop flats. I needed to put some PTFE tape on the pot spindles to prevent the knobs falling off.
The tuners are a bit naff and black Hipshot Ultalites are waiting for collecting from the PO.
The bridge (black) can wait a while but I’m going to move the strap button to the top horn using epoxy forced up into the cavity.
I’m loving it- 1

A question to the floor...
Babitz make 2 models of Gibson style 3 point bridges. One is for Gibson and one is for Epiphone. Epi's evidently have a collar on the mounting posts that is raised above the body slightly and the Epi version accommodates this.
What did you guys use on the JC? I think the Epiphone version is only made in black.
Any help greatly appreciated as always.

Just started up with a new band. Mature people, no prima donna's. It has all suddenly become enjoyable.
I still chat with the old rhythm guitarist. They asked him to play bass. He told them where to stick it
This is all water under the bridge now and I posted it at the time in part for reassurance. Given so much time I'm firmly aware that it was down to this guitarist and his personal issues. Sad as I put a lot of work in.
It wasn't ever about artistic nuances. It was about his inability to play a consistent structure and then having a hissy fit when I politely mentioned it.
