  1. If anyone knows about these bridges they'll know how hard they are to get a hold of. I waited many months for Thomann to get them in stock and I recently paid £183 for it.

    Now dropped to £120

Selling because the bass it was intended for (Epiphone Jack Casady, although it will fit other Epi basses) is also up for sale.

Unopened and the price includes UK delivery.

  2. This lovely Jack Casady was a vanity project. I've always loved them and I did own a gold one a few years back.

Bought new and fitted with Dunlop flats. As per usual there is a slight neck heavy attitude so the bass has been fitted with black Hipshot Ultralite tuners. This does leave the original tuner holes visible and the sale includes the original tuners.

The bass is in mint condition, unmarked and has hardly been played.

I waited many months for a Babitz EPi bridge (black) to come in stock and I've just paid £183 for one from Thomann (it's for sale separately although can include with bass for a good price).

I've also just bought a set of TI J344 strings that are unopened and will be for sale separately, again a 'special' price if you would like them included with the bass.

I've fitted a strap button to the top horn into an epoxy base. This helps with balance and has a Warwick fitting - strap lock included.

Why am I selling? The band and our tuning needs mean returning to 5 string is desired and I've ordered an MTD Kingston LK from BD.

Any questions don't hesitate. No trades please.

  3. Now £140 with free UK delivery.

A lovely amp at a great price.

This fully functioning amp in good condition isn't getting used. I used it for practice in my tiny 'bass space' only with an Accugroove cab and it was overkill. I now have a Peavey 250 watt Combo (still overkill :)).

Comes with the overdrive pedal (an extra not supplied with amp when new) and a lead. Has headphone out and Aux in.

Fender Rumble 200 Head (V3) Features:

    Amplifier Type: Class-D

Controls: Gain, Bright On/Off, Contour On/Off, Vintage On/Off, Drive, Overdrive On/Off, Level, Bass, Low-Mid, High-Mid, Treble, Master Volume

    Wattage: 200 Watts

    Effects Loop: 1/4" - (Send/Return)

    Inputs: One - 1/4"

    Auxiliary Input: 1/8" Stereo

    Headphone Jack: 1/8" Stereo

Line Out: One - (XLR with Ground Lift)

Channels: One - (with Selectable Bright Switch, Contour, Vintage Switch and Overdrive)

    Pilot Light Jewel: Red LED

Handle: Moulded Plastic Strap with Nickel-Plated Caps

    Front Panel: Painted Metal

Speaker outputs: Two - 1/4" - minimum 4 ohm load

I’m an ACG owner and a fan.

Aaron Armstrong makes their pickups I believe. Very well made and comparable to top brands (I have used and owned basses with EMG, Bart’s, SD’s, Nordstrand etc…) and in combination with my good friend John East’s electronics, ACG’s are world class in my humble opinion!

To my way of thinking there is a lot of myth and hype around pickups. Wire, magnets and a case. No magic. Most good.

Were you the original owner Peter? My research indicates that the bass is ACG #103 and was completed (and first purchased) in 2012, but I can't find out who was the first owner...

I didn’t have it custom made, at least from memory. I may have bought it new though. I had a break away from bass (mainly band related) and now play 4 string only. It didn’t come with single coils if memory serves correctly (age takes its toll). I bought the single coils as the originals sounded a little compressed to my ears.

    • Thanks 1
  6. I met up with Peter today to buy his Peavey 112 200 watt combo.
The whole process was excellent. Great communication and very good to deal with.

The combo is in excellent condition. It performs faultlessly and is just the job.

    Thank you Peter

  7. I’ve just been practicing in my little bass cupboard. I picked up this bass, that deserves a name really.
Okay, so I have 4 basses. I play my 2 medium scale 90+% of the time.
But, in terms of Jazz basses, playability and tone, I’ve not played better. In terms of basses generally too regardless of cost.
Withdrawn. What was I thinking? For such a low return in terms of £’s.

Hi .Would you say the last picture on the second lot  is more a true colour as the others look very white, and have you found the torte pickguard😊.Rich

The pure white reference should be the pick guard really. The body colour is a lovely cream. I love it so much that my Zoot P bass has matching colours, bass and pick guard, (including a 2nd, tort plate that I don't use).

The last picture, taken with the tort plate that was easily located, is taken with a flash so therefore isn't the true colour.

    Here's me and my Zoot.

  9. I sold my EBS Microbass 3 to Pete.

Initially the headphone amp was noisy. Pete was really good about this and we had a way ahead awaiting contact from EBS. The issue resolved itself.

A pleasure and thank you. It's when things aren't completely straightforward that peoples best qualities can come to the fore.

    Peter
