1. Sorry man, I have just noticed the little but important tag that says collection only. No worries shuda read your ad more closely.
2. Hi there, do you still have the cab.? would you consider posting it to N.Ireland if I pay the Postage and packing.
3.
Cheers for that Andy
Hey Guys, Red Ray is about to take a trip to Greece, a certain KERMITNT has kindly made a purchase! Cheers for all the help
4. Hey Guys, for sale is my Stingray. Some of you will know this bass already. I bought it from Andy Travis back in 2009. The bass was in mint condition when i bought it from Andy and the only way i could improve on it IMHO was to fit a Status Graphite neck. The bass is translucent red and has the Piezo pickup and comes in it's original Musicman case and with it's original Maple neck which is totally unused and original black scratchplate. The band I was in split and I have done nothing since, so the bass has had no abuse whatsoever. The bass cost me £1000 plus £300 for the Status neck. I would like to get £1000 for the whole package! Was asked for more pics so got my daughter's camera this time, not my crappy phone(stupid old man). Have included the only blemish which is a paint chip near the strap button! Michael Sorry! pics are still crap.......... my photography is worse than my bass playing
5. Just recieved my Eden 210xlt of ebay. Linked it up with the one I already have and my WT 550. Disaster! Disconnected the new cab and low and behold own cab sounds fine. Connect just amp and new cab....fuzz tone. When i damp the bass string and make the cones move, one is flexing freely in and out while the other seem stiff and seized, this is the same result if I gently push the cones with my hand. one feels really tight. Any advice, I am not technical nor do i have ohm metres to test them! I suppose I can swap speakers from one cab to another cause they are identical cabs and rule out the faulty driver but I still wouldn't know what was wrong with it! Michael
6. Thanks man i thought maybe mine was faulty. I can get nice enough tones but no one is ever gonna hear them. A large fly buzzing around the room manage to drown out the amp michael
7. Hey guys anyone else have one of these amps. I bought it brand new as a cheapish back up. It dont matter whether i use a single 8 ohm cab or both my 8 ohm cabs it just has no puff at all. With the 2 cabs running the amp at 4 ohms it supposed to put out 300W but OH my God it is feeble, even with the gain turned way up above normal! Michael
8.
Incredible isnt it. How they pack that much power into something that is superlight. Bob Gallien said that they have used a few weight saving tricks. Thin aluminium instead of steel for the front gril. The 210 & 212 are both neo speakers. Smaller cabinets. The head unit they are using is pretty much the new MB2 500 but with a few small differences. That only weights 3lb! I can't wait to get mine.
I cant wait to hear your report on the amp, please let me know how you get on! Michael
9.
I'd be interested to hear opinions on these as Im looking to get a decent lightweight amp/rig. The only place i can find that sells them is http://www.dv247.com/guitars/gallien-krueg...mp-combo--70248 I might have to pop into the Romford store and try one out.
Cheers my friend If you manage to try one please let me know what you think. Music shops where i live are crap so there is no chance of trying one out. Michael
10.
I know someone who wants a 115BLX if you end up splitting? Possibly the 210 too.
Hey Chris I checked out the price of two new GK cabs and it works out at £358 from GAK. I will take half or that give or take a few quid. So £175 plus shipping for both GK cabs! Michael
11.
Can I be first in the queue for the WT550 if someone else is willing to buy the cabs? Cheers Mike G.
No problem Geester, lets just see how the rest of the stuff goes first! My problem is that selling the heads seperatley leaves me with cabinets (which if needed) couldn't be used, and I would have to buy another amp to use them which is defeating the purpose. Michael
12. Hey Colin the I X 15 Cab is rated at 400 watts RMS the 2 x 10 is rated at 350 watts RMS. if you have someone who could collect the cabs, then I would consider splitting the rig. I live 15 miles from Belfast. Michael
13. Hey Guys and Girls Managed to sell all except the 1 x 15 GK cab. Sold them all locally ( Hmmm..a 3 hour drive) so no shipping! Thanks ye all! Michael
14. Hey Guys Need to downsize due to a Knackered back I have Eden and Gk rigs which I have not used for 2 years (and will be selling shortly)as I play very little and only playing very small gigs. Have seen a few ads for these GK combo amps (MB210)which are supposed to be superlight but can't find out much bout them. Anyone out there have one or tried one and can give me an opinion Michael
15. I am the proud owner of Andy's red Stingray. Great guy and a pleasure to deal with. Lots of great correspondence and plenty of good bass related chat. The Bass was well packaged and arrived very quickly and was in mint condition exactly as Andy had described! Cheers Andy
16. Whoops I think I've started something here It's amazing how just browsing on this forum can bring on a bout of serious GAS. I never really suffered this complaint before and the only release for bad gas is to throw some money at it hoping that will be the cure!
17. Hey all you guys out there in bass land, took the plunge last week and decided to put the feelers out about selling my bass. Within a week I had sold mine and bought a replacement, posted mine away and received my new bass, and dealt with two great blokes(andytravis) and (NJE). I also have had every bass question and inquiry answered, drooled over all the bass porn and enjoyed all the correspondence that goes on. Actually I am spending way to much of my life here! Cheers to all you bass players of the world WHAT A GREAT PLACE THIS IS! Michael
18.
Micheal, i really had thought about the Redray with a Fretless Status Neck, the Piezo would be a winner!!! I'm going to do a Jazz one next year.
Hey Andy How sweet would Redray look with that Status neck How sweet would my wifes face look if I were to spend another £300 on music stuff and our bathroom not finished yet? Hmmm.......... beautiful graphite neck versus wall tiles and paint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Michael
19. Hey Guys Just seen a Stingray with a Status Graphite neck and it looked really sweet. Is this something that is available of the shelf or did someone commit a status bass murder , and grave rob body parts for a Frankenstein project! Michael!
20. Hey Andy didn't realise you were a precision freak I built this one for a fun project and it actually works, stays in tune really well and sounds great too! Bass parts resources supplied all the bits and I managed to do everything from wiring to spraying etc. Its great fun and I think everybody should have a go. Just before all you experts have a go at my bass, this was for fun and a bit of experience. It may be crap to you but I am proud of it!
