  1. Something a little different here.

its a 1991 4003 in midnight blue with black hardware. Think they did a limited run of these in red, and in white as well as the blue.

Over the years, the colour of this one has changed to a more petrol blue due a mixture of age, sweat, sunlight and I suspect tobacco. It has numerous chips on body, neck and headstock, the finish on the rear of the neck is partly worn away. It’s a genuinely roadworn Ric

it looks great, it plays great and the neck is lovely

it had a full set up last year and new strings (markbass if I recall).

Asking price is £1500 and I’ve tried to balance out the limited edition aspect of the bass against the roadworn condition. Not an easy one to price.

im based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and I’d rather do collection or meet up if possible.

PS - I’ve got the original case which is even more roadworn than the bass but I’ve got new latches for it which just need fitting by any decent cobbler with the rivet tool. Just need to locate those new latches following a recent housemove.

Hi Mike, that is a beautiful thing, my issue is that there is no hard case and I had 2 basses arrive last year that where from guitar shops that got badly damaged so I was able to get my money back. I'll need to think about it. Regards Jimmy

  3. Limelight serial number 211 for sale

A PJ with a jazz profile neck, the finger board is really dark and it plays lovejy.

Only selling as I’m about to buy back a bass I should never has sold.

I’ve no case for it so would prefer collection from Wakefield or meet up within an hour or so.

  5. A friends band is looking to recruit a bass player for their 90's function band. They practice in Leeds and gig all over the Yorkshire region and aim for 2-3 gigs a month

    Here's the blurb:

NME (Nineties Music Experience) are a fully live 5 piece band bringing you the biggest tunes from music's last great decade.

We cover the likes of Oasis, Blur, Pulp, The Charlatans, Happy Mondays, Stone Roses, Paul Weller and loads more besides just Britpop

    Their website is here: www.ninetiesmusicexperience.co.uk

I helped them out with a guitarist audition last night and they're a good bunch of guys

Anyone interested should contact Jonny on 07824 347361

    Update:

Yesterday afternoon I took @joeystrange‘s advice and contacted the place in Nottingham that I thought my bass had been sent to. Amazingly, they had it - so I drove over there this morning and picked it up. What a relief.

I don’t know how Interparcel and Parcelforce ‘conducted a thorough investigation and concluded the parcel was lost’. I told them where I thought it was and the guy in Nottingham said they had called Interparcel last week to say they have it! It honestly beggars belief.

I had an email last night saying Interparcel were paying out £900 on the insurance. After a bit of soul searching, I’ve just told them I’ve found the bass so not to pay out. I’ve asked for reimbursement of my travel costs and some compensation but I won’t hold my breath.

Anyway, the happy ending is I’ve got my bass back. I’ll be putting it back up for sale soon, so if you see a 5 string black and maple P bass in the marketplace, it isn’t stolen!

    Well done you.

I might have been tempted to carry on the claim on a win some, you lose some basis. But then I’d probably have slept on it and decided to do the same as you.

The stress they’ve caused you is worth a big chunk and clearly they’ve done nothing to find it for you.

    Glad it got resolved

  7. I’m selling this lovely 75 reissue I picked up early last year as I recently picked up an original 74 Jazz.

Fiesta Red body with a few small knocks as shown in the pics. Lovely block and bound maple neck with 2 really small knocks.

Weighs in at 10 lb which is average for these.

Pickups are Fender Custom Shop or if you prefer I have a set of Lindy Fralins I can swap in. Controls are a set that Kiogon (John) made for it.

Comes with a Hiscox Liteflite hard case which isn’t pristine but does the job.

    £750 ono

Collection from Wakefield or meet up preferred but I can box up if you want to arrange a courier.

Not really looking for trades this time
