  2. Some folk don't seem to understand that good manners costs nothing and can get you a long way in life. With so many methods available nowadays, non-communication is unforgiveable and frankly, the 'too busy' excuse just doesn't wash. I've been generally lucky on here, ebay and gumtree/preloved but there's always the occasional time waster - both buyers and sellers. Ebays feedback rating goes some way to managing the timewasters but shame there's no similar system on here. Feedback is fine but it always tends to be positive only
  3. Welcome to basschat. Barcelona is one of my favourite cities to visit, especially when it is cold and wet in the UK (I guess that means all the time )
  4. I'm dropping this to £450 as there's something i want to buy. Will probably withdraw from sale if I can't get the 3 way deal :-) I think that's a great price for one of these
  5. My regular band aren't bad on communication. We have a closed facebook group and that works really well. We also have a shared google diary so everyone can update their availability My other band are a nightmare. It takes a mixture of texts, emails and/or phone calls to get through. Some folk don't read messages at all, some folk read them but don't respond with a simple 'OK'. There's no way i could get them to go down the facebook route. We're mainly in our 50's and because I've worked in 'technology' for so long, I think everyone else is as familiar with technology as I am. Clearly not !
  6. Can I have next dibs if everyone withdraws?
  7. I've got the original Satinline prototype (2 jazz p/ups) and can verify everything bassix says about the quality and playability. It's also fairly simple to rout out a battery box and add a john east u-retro if you're after active electronics
  8. Price drop
  9. Already got a sansamp bddi, compressor, chorus, flanger, tuner and wah on the board that I'm happy with - didn't take to the boss odb3 or synth pedals
  10. Trades considered - I like trying different pedals :-)

  12. Sorry - links corrected
  13. wil consider trades with cash adjustment either way - especially interested in a Jack Cassady

  18. Just traded my Stingray for Matteo's Sandberg PM The bass arrived safely and promptly. It came perfectly packaged and sounds great Matteo was great to deal with, comms were prompt and positive. I'd happily deal with him again. Geography was not a problem for either of us Thanks Matteo - hope you enjoy the Ray
  19. Xmas eve update Thanks for all the feedback - things will go quiet for a while with Xmas hols but I'll be talking to the woodwork man in early Jan about a prototype and I've already sourced some orange tolex In the meantime, merry Xmas to all basschatters
