Thanks for all of the suggestions folks! Definitely considering trying some of the suggested if I can find any. I have to say I played a spector euro 5lx years ago and absolutely loved it! May have to wait and see if anyone is parting ways with one!!

Hey all, My sincere apologies for the stupid title, it's difficult to describe hahaha!! I'm curious to know what is the brightest bass you've owned/played with the most sizzle on the top end? While still retaining good low end. Ideally a 5 string but not essential. I'm basically in the market for a new 5er with about £1k-1.5 budget. Thanks as always!! Aj

Hi all, Does anyone know anywhere in the UK that has stock of Lakland gear, specifically either thr DJ5 or 55-02. I'm really struggling to find anyone who stocks anything Lakland. I've tried most of the usual suspects. Rare as rocking horse doo doo it seems over here now!! Gutted as I'm desperate for one and ready to buy 😞 Thanks all!!!

Thanks so much for the advice guys! I kind of thought the G&L would be the way to go. Now to find someone selling one. Not fussed by either the 4 or 5. I'd love one of the Carved top but they are soooo rare it would appear here in the UK

I'm highly considering the following. Either a Lakland DJ5 Or a G&L L2000/2500. Anyone had or used both? Versatility is absolutely essential to me. I do tend to prefer a more agressive sort of bass tone to be honest with thunderous low end but good top end sizzle. Think Justin Chancellor style tone. I'd also be interested if anyone is selling either. Particularly the G&L's as these are becoming rare as rocking horse doo doo over here as I don't think anyone is selling them for some reason.
