1. Does it not depend on the variables? Genre, size of room, how hard he hits? I've never needed an overhead in a pub, and rarely a snare mic. If needed wouldn't micing the snare and toms be more practical than an overhead?
2. Tubes now sold; lights still available: £100 the pair.
3. Hi Mods, I might be going mad, but I set up adverts for a Ui16 mixer and MarkBass TTE 800 in the for sale section and they seem to have disappeared. Was there a problem with them, or have I made a technical error? Cheers, Andy
4. I reckon live you'd get pretty close with a Warwick fretless thumb bass into an Ampeg rig with perhaps a touch of chorus and compression. Not what he used originally, but i think it would get you there.
5. Somebody asked for the made in Germany stamp. Here's a free bonus headstock shot too:
6. If you can find somewhere to demo the RCF Evox 5 (or 8 if you can stretch) you might well be surprised, especially if using keys through it as well. They are also less visually obtrusive than 12" PA tops in a small pub environment (and you can stand your pint on the sub (I may also have just put a reasonably priced Soundcraft Ui16 up for sale on the forum today...)
7. I don't think this has been mentioned above yet, but you might want to try sending subs on fader. This means using your main left and right outs of the Ui12 for the PA tops, and then sending an entirely different feed off an aux out to the sub(s). This way you need only put the actual bass instruments (kick, bass, and possibly keys and guitar depending on genre) through the subs. You can then control, the sub independently with gain, filters, compression etc. I don't know about the RCF sub but certainly my Mackie 1501s don't turn all the way off even with the volume at '0', so doing it this way gives me much better control in smaller venues. To be fair it does take a bit of getting used to having a whole extra send to balance with the mains, but I instantly got better definition and punch in my mix. With digital mixers in this way you can control your own crossover, and not be limited to your sub's presets.
8. **SOLD** Bit of a mouthful, but in short these are two DMX 7x 3w LED RGB parcan style lights, with sturdy magnetically attached plastic tubes which make excellent effects for a function or pub band. They run on sound to light or DMX. I'd be happy to sell the tubes on their own, but not the pars. Will include gigbags for the pars. Selling them for around 50% of new price. Based in Cambridge, but happy to meet up in reasonable distance. Update: tubes now sold; lights still available. 9. **SOLD** * Now £500! * Cracking amp this. If you like valve tones, but don't like hernias or Chiropracters, then this may be the amp for you! Incorporates valve compressor which sounds amazing. 800w will keep up with just about any band or stage. Comes with branded MarkBass gig bag. Based in Cambridge, but will meet up in reasonable distance. Cheers, Andy
10. **SOLD** Soundcraft Ui16 Now £290 16 channel 'stage box' mixer for use with mobile devices. Easy to use, with intuitive interface. Uniquely this isn't an 'App' but runs from your web browser, so you can use pretty much any wifi enabled device to control it. Stable wifi, 4 aux out for monitors or in ears, USB record out and playback. Rackmountable. Great for pub bands. Any questions feel free to ask. Based in Cambridge but will meet up in reasonable distance. Cheers, Andy

13. **SOLD** Price dropped to £1900 Sigh, totally don't want to do this, but... Not using this anymore, and it should be being played! Amazing bass, classic looks and unique sound. If you've only ever played the Rockbass version the German made ones are in a different league. This bubinga one is just stunning in every regard, and they don't come up for sale very often. For the uninitiated they sound like this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9_LC9u3F_ZY And this one looks like this: Supplied with Warwick custom shop flight case (a proper flight case) and padded gig bag. Levy strap with strap locks if wanted. Based in Cambridge, and would much rather pickup for this cracking bass. Cheers, Andy
