  1. June is bustin’ out all over - Rogers & Hammerstein
  2. Bought a bridge and pick-guard off Mike this week at a helluva good price; lovely guy to chat with, deal couldn’t have been easier, and the goods arrived almost instantly and really well wrapped/packed. I’d deal with Mike again without hesitation - many thanks fella!
  3. It still gives me a pang of guilt that I once got a perfectly good Squier MB1 P/J bass in a Crack Converters down from £100 to £50 as I demonstrated to the staff that one of the volume knobs wasn’t working. Turns out (after I got it home) that it was the pan / blend control, I hadn’t had a bass with one before......

  15. (I’ve had) the time of my life - Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes
  16. Northern lights - Renaissance
  17. Benjamin Orr of The Cars was also regularly seen with one (swapping between the Vox and a MM Stingray when playing live - you could hardly imagine two more dissimilar basses......) I have a mid-‘60’s English made Vox Wyman bass - VERY much nicer than the slightly later Italian made models. Have to admit I rarely gig it due the short scale and incredibly skinny neck. But they are amazingly cool basses, with a surprisingly “big” sound.
  18. We are the Diddymen - Ken Dodd
  19. Another girl, another planet - The Only Ones
  20. The shame is that he does list some genuinely interesting vintage stuff, and his feedback is excellent (how does that work then? ) In previous discussions about this it’s been suggested that the deliberately crazy listings are “click bait” to attract custom, but can’t say I’ve ever seen anything he’s listed that isn’t crazily priced (apart from the Wal neck.....)
  21. There are more questions than answers - Johnny Nash
  22. Allegedly only missing the truss rod nut, which probably meant also a knackered rod - but still fixable, and given the sellers usual ludicrous prices something of a bargain. That EBO has been up FS as long as I can remember, along with this mongrel Epi: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/60s-EPIPHONE-by-GIBSON-EMBASSY-DELUXE-BASS-made-in-USA-THUNDERBIRD-SOUND/174434503277?hash=item289d1b4a6d:g:KzsAAOSwlE9d4FVU
