    Great bass and great seller ! I know this particular Fodera and it it flawless in every way. And even if the Fodera/EMG combo is soundwise not for everybody ... Players who like an explosive, crystal clear, easy to play 4-string, those should give this a try. It is a slap and fingerfunk machine and great performer, and if EMGs are not the first choice - these pickups could be easily changed to Nordstrands or other, warmer sounding pickups, without routing and soldering ! Basically the bass has the new Pope Flexcore preamp in it which has screw terminals for the wiring.

    Overall this bass has been played a lot (for good reasons) yet very well cared for and is in top working condition. Neck pickup shows some wear from thumb positioning. Very articulate sound as you would expect from a Maple'd MTD.

    This is a unique short scale bass with a lot of outstanding features: Amazing Abalone purfling, wooden inlays, MIDI interface, Piezo element, chambered body (very lightweight), 30" shortscale, flat board (like a classical guitar), etc etc. The construction of this model was inspired by Carles Benavente's specs (look at YT for some clips), but with a slightly wider spacing. Playing this bass is pure fun and will open up new dimensions for innovative players. Currently strung E-E you can play this like a guitar (1 octave lower) or apply a regular B-C set you will have a surprising low end in a easy to handle package.
