Danish contains a small amount of lacquer, and can get tacky if applied thick or too many coats without ample drying and curing.
The lacquer in it is to give a more durable and sealed finish...
Prefer a Tung or Tru Oil 'n Wax finish, enough of a seal with a more Organic feel.
I'd get some 0000 Wire Wool to apply it.

Haven't really 'plugged-in' in anger, but i'd say Fuller, less Top 'n Bottom and more Mid... but I'd say with Less Clarity than the OJ when pushed hard... More Mid-More Mush, but i'm after a Medium Crank Super Bass Sound.
The OJ does a lovely Stranglers-esq Hollow Hiwatt
The OJ is FS to cover some of the cost 😉

@Gasman I've marked your post with a Heart and not a Sad... I'm sure your Heart was screaming at what was probably such a cathartic performance.

Not a fan of the style of bass... but love the sentiment.

Good musicians are worth their weight in gold, good drummers doubly so.
Are you saying Drummers are fat?.. 😉

The Beringer Vintage Phaser is an Old School Bargain Small Stone-alike and the Joyo MXR-alike pedals are great value and great sound... often SH
The Single Rate Pot can do nice and slow, but i likes my Phasing a little more subtle than than the demos sound, and have a Joyo Ironman Nebulus Phaser Boss-alike

Although Delay hasn't been mentioned... and usually placed at the end - less Amp Sim or depending where DI is taken - from my gtr days of the dim and distant past of the early 80's...
I likes my Delay before my Slow and Subtle Phaser... so the repeats get changed, just a little, rather than before, when the repeats are the same! Sounds more Organic to me.
Usual would be Tuner/Compressor/Filter&EQ/Drive&Distortion/Modulation aka Phase,Flange&Chorus/Delay&Reverb/Amp 'n Cab Sim/DI... Depending where you want your DI sound taken... maybe also taken earlier in the signal chain for a mixed wet/dry sound.
Most important give em a go and see what you hear different and what ya like.

Yes Mate...
'Gibson' Set-Neck Esq... usually stop n tail bridge normally have the angled rings of 2 sizes... Small size and edge to neck.. large size and edge to Bridge.
As the neck is usually laid back 5 deg-ish... plus the archness of the body
So the pickup poles distance from the underside of the string stays the same, even if the strings run further away from the body as the go to the bridge...
'Fender' Bolt-ons necks are usually more parallel-ish to the slabbier body, and less height difference pickup to pickup and string to body, while the pickup pole to string underside stays the same
Strange i had angle surrounds on a Epi Bolt on LPish... swapped en for flat.
The Yam Set or Thru-neck?

I'd give it a go... Body, possibly swamp ash 😉 is already shedding its skin, and the neck is gonna need a proper sanding to get rid of the mould any howz...
Great way to spend the evening sun when it comes, in the garden, cool beer, and some simple sanding and waxing, no faff painting...

Loved the Amdek (Boss) kits that were about in the 80's - Had the Distortion, Chorus and Phaser... unfortunately got stolen 😞

If the straps are long enough... pull them up and get them sewn across at the height that you want, not long enough cut and re-sew, maybe using a bit of webbing going across, inside and out.

IIRC Bridge Screw Mounting Holes @ 35" from Back of the nut seems to be the standard for 34" to Saddle for the G... and not likely to be shorter...
