Wadded Top, Back and Bottom with an off-cut strip after doing the still not working SWR Washing Machine...
Then off-cuts of the off-cut for the sides. Should smooth the sound out a little a make it a bit less box-like... wadding reduces standing waves, and mid domination and also makes the cab sound larger...

There is also a white one...

Double bass arrived...
Much smaller than it looked in the pics to my blurry eyes, and half the body is missing.... Don't eBay Drunk...
... Should give the Youngling a challenge and build on his ear with the fretless bass.
Plus, I'm a BIG Hawkwind fan, so can't wait to hear it thru the Fuzz, Wah Wah, Phaser and Delay of the pedal board... Man!
As neither me or my Son have a clue about such things... strings on order.
Any sage advice or blah blah most welcome.

….and what make of stand please Paul?
Dunno got SH...
But looks like this with the two thumb wheel screws each end https://amzn.eu/d/afuw30X
You will need another couple of inches when slotting in (stop it...) and the extra length (i said stop it...) of bass neck means the stand has to be further from the wall.
Spacers on the shelf wall battens sounds like a plan.

0.1 arrived...
Tried to adjust the truss rod to lessen the relief and flatten the neck before sticking on the shim steel...
No Joy... opened up the super glued crack...
So 101 Hard as Nails...
...and on with the shim steel...
Its steel down on the foam rubber garage mats with a box of books on top.
Hopefully the thin shim will conform to the fretboard radius. Then a sand of the shim over-edges to the fretboard.
Fingers crossed!

Moderate width Court - curved inside and out - no issues.
Flat, inside or out, will have an edge.
