Hello, I’ve been playing and teaching bass for 37 years. I have an old headless Status bass in metallic cream with a bolt on graphite neck and a Nanyo Bass Collection fretless in cherry red wood grain. My amps are a Line 6 LD300 Pro which is a bit temperamental but it’s loud and doesn’t fart which is ideal for gigs if I ever do one again. I have got a bit fed up of trying to hold a band together long enough to play bass in public so I also have a Roland Microcube Bass RX which zI plan to use for busking on my own. It’s loud enough for that and battery powered. I don’t drive as an visually impaired. I’m also Autistic so quite happy on my own as I’m socially awkward. I absolutely love bass guitar. I like all styles of music. I learned trumpet at school and taught myself piano and drums (not properly). Bass is what I think I do best and practicing and improving gives me great satisfaction. That feeling of something becoming easier and second nature through dedicated practice still excites me and there’s always more to learn. My main influences musically are probably a bit stereotypical but Steve Harris, Stanley Clark and Jaco Pastorius are amount them along with Michael Manring who I’d never heard till last week (wow). If you’re still reading at this point, thank you 🙂

Oh man another bass with issues😡 . Frets are tarnished, I gave them a vigorous wiping with a damp cloth to see if it would come off and no joy, I am reluctant to order the 1200 grit and start working on the frets on a new bass in case I bodge it
