1. Definitely now up for sale or trade. all offers welcome (cash, heads, cabs, basses). My photobucket is playing up tonight so will get pictures up tomorrow evening.
2. Markbass SD1200 up for sale. I really debated against getting rid of this as its so good, but i'm in love with my Streamliner 900 and it's one or the other . You can see the specs here - http://www.markbass.it/product_detail.php?id=100 HEIGHT 3.39 in. / 8.6 cm (2U) DEPTH 11.9 in. / 30.2 cm WIDTH 14.5" / 36.8 cm (with rack ears: 19" / 48.3 cm) WEIGHT 9.15 lbs / 4,15 kg OUTPUT POWER 750W RMS @ 8 ohm, 1200W RMS @ 4 ohm It is very light and very, very loud. Played an outdoor festival a few weeks ago and only got up to 12 o'clock on the master before it was too much. Its nice to have a lot of headroom but I don't feel I get the full benefit of it through my 2 8ohm cabs. Don't worry it also does quiet too. Bought it in October 2010 from Mark at Bass Direct so its like new, no damage or scratches. No problems at all and its still under warranty. I'm looking for £725 delivered (they are about £950 new). PRICE DROP - £700 (ex shipping) PM questions, offers, anything really.
3. Friday bump. Surprisingly little interest in this. I'm willing to consider anything trade wise so don't be shy. As mentioned can also add cash for a trade up.
4. They are both excellent bass manufacturers Its the slightly different neck profile on both basses that I prefer. Plus the longer scale on the 5 string i've got that has the edge. They are weightier than the Status basses i've owned but I actually like that. I'm certainly not anti-Status in any way, they are awesome basses. I've just really gelled with the Modulus stuff in a way that that I haven't felt with the Status stuff. Its just pickiness I suppose. Maybe someone out there has a Status that i'll truly fall in love with. All my previous status basses have been headed so that might be the key to it. The B2 is an awesome bass for Rock stuff (used it for a festival recently) but I'm also involved in an alt country band and surprisingly the Modulus basses work with it whereas the B2 is a bit much.
5. New pictures for a dreary Saturday morning.
6. Thanks for the offer but i'm looking for something a bit different. Hope your getting on ok with it.
7. Its my Status B2 and its for trade. I've just bought a couple of Modulus basses and they are now my main go to instruments (sorry Rob). The B2 doesn't deserve to be sitting in a case under a bed so for the right trade i'm willing to move it on. Its in excellent condition, no bumps or scrapes. What can I say, it is what is in all of its over the top bonkers beauty. If you need specs check out the Status site here http://www.status-graphite.com/status/frames/index_home.html No LED's i'm afraid but everything else as standard plus hard case Try me with anything, I can only say no. I'm particularly looking for something Alembic, Modulus or another different flavour Status but i'm open. I'm not looking to trade down and for the right high end bass will add cash or another bass of mine as a deal (Warwick Infinity SN or Shuker Headless). UPDATE: I've been informed by one by Senman that this is a very early model and has a Serial number three digits before John Entwistles B2 just to give you an idea on date. UPDATE: price now added PM me if you need any more details. Ryan
8. Just bought a Modulus from Paul Great guy and the bass was securely packaged and in fantastic condition. Would certainly deal with again.
9. Just sold on a Bass to Jack. An absolute gentleman to deal with. Communication was excellent and he seems like a fun guy. Wouldn't think twice about doing business again.
10. I can vouch for the quality of this bass. If your even considering buying it then take the plunge and go ahead and treat yourself, you won't be dissapointed.
11. Hi all Recently acquired a beautiful Musicman Bongo in a trade. It's a fabulous bass which I really can't fault. However i've just picked up a Modulus 5 off Ebay and don't have room (I have to stop looking at basses). I would say that the most impressive aspect of the Bass is its 4 band EQ. I played it at a rehearsal a few weeks ago straight into a PA into a DI and the amount of bottom end you can dial in is incredible. I will get pictures up as soon as possible but i'm really busy until the weekend with some Irishesque appearances so i've linked to the previous sales thread. I hope Playground Martyr doesn't mind. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...=musicman+bongo As you can see the price is the same as he was shifting it for reduced BUT I have added a Hipshot D Tuner and will include postage in that price (original tuner included). As far as condition its been out the house once since recently traded for one rehearsal. Any questions feel free to PM you can also check my feedback here. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=103130 Please don't be put off by my quickness to move this bass on since initially trading. If the Modulus hadn't come my way and I had more space i'd be genuinely keeping it for that EQ alone. Ryan
12. Looking to trade on my EBS based pedal board, all offers are welcome. Looking for a bass guitar or nice amp head really. I know it seems a bit odd but i've just purchased a VB99 and it covers all of my effects needs in a very lightweight package. I have made a rule for myself that this year any bass gear I have that sits and gathers dust should be moved on and played, life is too short. I'd like to go down the trade route as the market is horrible out there on the forums and I hate to think that people are losing value on great stuff. Think of it as an option to get something nice then sell on at value when things pick up. I'm not willing to split the board up as its a pain and it took me ages to put it together, it comes as a trade. I will swap out the TC Electronic tuner for a Boss Chromatic depending on preferance of potential trader. The board consists of - Compressor IQ (Envelope filter) Chorus Octaver Wah Tuner (The most important effects pedal of them all , TC electronic or Boss chromatic, its your choice) Valve drive (used in my current set up as a pre-amp) Ebs Microbass 2 (used as bass DI in my current set up) Everything is Velcro'd and it all lives in a pedal train case sitting on a pedal train board. All connectors are planet waves. Everything is powered on board by a single lightweight supply but the valve drive has a separate power supply. The Valve drive currently has a very expensive 80's valve in it from Watford Valves, but I also have the original as well which I can include. PM me any questions Thanks
