Hiperi0n replied to Old Horse Murphy's topic in Basses For Sale
Yep..this was the one i sold to Nick...he is a great guy..so deal with him with confidence.... the precision was a very great one...warm, solid , classic precision sound , probably with the new pickup will sound also better and you can be sure of the collectors value because the original pup is there also....so go for it! -
yeah i've seen the shergold website...and thanx for the opinions on the bass...i'm not really sure of getting it without a try
-
i've seen your pictures on the website..for sure it's a nice looking bass.... can you tell me more about the sound of that bass? the body shape is very Walish..especially similar to first Wal pro models...and i love Wals
-
you sold it for 200£ without informing before on the value of the bass? for sure it's not the same bass because the one has been offered to me it's in italy.... anyway there's a guy in Usa that on the forum talkbass.com is asking actually 1900$ or something near that value...i dunno if you sold your probably for too less..or maybe he's asking way too much that's the link to his thread : http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5455525

Fender Jazz 1976 - Music Man stingray 1979 pre ernie
Hiperi0n replied to Hiperi0n's topic in Basses For Sale
mmm i really dunno that...but how i can identify an original scratchplate from a not original one? i don't think stingrays pickguards have serial numbers under like 70's jazz For sure it is wonderful with the tortoise...would be cool also with a black one (you can find easily on ebay)
Pre-EB stingrays sound fabulous - I can vouch. But is the tortie scratchplate a replacement ? Not sure they did Tortie in pre-EBall days..... or have I missed something ?
-

ehehe never met John...would be great.... personally i like all basses probably i have preference on classic..but also sold so many modern basses like laklands, modulus, ritter and so on yeah the stingray is amazing..some serious interest on it...will see if that deal will be closed also for the jazz had some interest...nothing definitive still...so go for it before it's too late -
