Thanks to @Jason Karloff for making me aware of Brutus.
I see they're playing Arc Tan Gent this year. If they fall on a day with other band's I'd like to see, I'm going to go.
Impressive, her voice is bjork esque and love how it floats over the heavy riffs. Thanks for sharing

Found this on my run earlier. Love the funky bass line and growl
Sorry not sure how to embed the video properly

I much prefer the newer shapes, to me they strike the perfect balance of looking like a traditional J/P but with enough of their own vibe to be more interesting than just a straight copy.
I’m with you on this one!

I don't think amps really pair with basses beyond whether you want vintage voicing vs modern. I completely get that you may want to upgrade though - those Rumbles are great for practice but at some point you're probably going to want more. I'd probably look at used separates for the best VFM upgrade. A nice 1x12 and a head voiced to your preference would be a good start.
This makes lots of sense. I will take a look! Thanks 🙏

Interested to know what people think would be a good amp pairing for a Sandberg vm5. Currently using a rumble 40, which sounds good but I think I’ll upgrade as some point. I’m keen to know what people would recommend as a great pairing?

Almost a week with my VM5 now. I can’t get over the quality of this instrument. The balance of the bass is incredible and at 3.6kg, really light for a 5 string. The sounds that it gives is lovely, a nice growl but in with perfect control. I am now definitely a Sandberg convert.

Just bought from Bass Bros and really impressed with the communication and service. Will definitely use them again. Although I thinks it’s pretty dangerous living so close 😀😀

Yes I imagine that would be a bit of a concern, sound like some great mods. My BB605 has a similar risk of the battery going but it seems to last for ages.
I’ve seen a few pop up in the here and there and hopefully Fender will do another run at some point. In no rush but I’m pretty sure it’s one I would like to add to the collection.

I really fancy a flea active Jazz Bass to accompany my roadworn jazz. I dropped Fender an email as I thought they may have been discontinued.
They confirmed that they are not discontinued but they do not have an ETA for the next run. Fingers crossed they make some more and maybe some new colours (copper brown would be nice). To be honest I’d have any colour.

Great basses and great price. If I didn’t already have one I’d be all over this. GLWTS

Absolutely fantastic bass, the feel and sound is brilliant. I love mine and this is a cracking price compared to what they are new now. GLWTS

Lovely, rate the newer version of this highly. I’ve heard the older ones with the rosewood boards are even better. GLWTS!

@MikeypbMikeypb bought a black USA Fender Jazz from me today. Amazing communication and a really nice chap. A real credit to the basschat community.

Anyone know where to get new pickguards for Sandberg's?
I'm looking to get a tort one. The Sandberg shop has them but they won't ship to the UK. I've asked a couple of shops and they have said with customs they become very expensive and take a long time and advised getting one made instead.
