Fender Offset Series Mustang Bass in Red, great little bass only selling to make room in my collection. Good condition with some signs of wear as it has been gigged a few times. Collection would be ideal but I understand that that’s obviously tricky at the moment so I am willing to arrange delivery at the buyers expense. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Need to sell ASAP

Also how have the 60s basses been set up out of the factory? How much adjustment have you found to be required?

I'm having a bit of trouble deciding between the Fender Vintera 60s and 70s jazz bass and was wondering if anyone could help me out following their own experience with these instruments. Can you adjust the TR on the 60s without removing the neck(as with the flea signature)? How different do they both sound? What is the difference in feel between the two? Is there anything else of note?
I am aware that this has been touched upon in one of my previous posts however I'm hoping for further clarification. Overall I think I'm leaning slightly towards the 60s however the TR adjustment is putting me off slightly, how much of an issue have people found it to be?
Many thanks,
Harry

I ended up coming to the same conclusion a few months ago. I'd have ended up putting vintage voiced pickups on it and changing for a tortoiseshell scratch plate anyway, so saved myself the bother. There's also the fact it looked rather like the bass had recently been stolen from me. And was then recovered a couple of months later.... leaving me with two blue Jazz Basses with similar sounding pickups!
It's a really nice sounding and looking bass, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Thanks, that was exactly what I was thinking

Thank you everyone for your responses, I’ve had a think and the smoother, less-harsh sound and general vibe of the 60s jazz bass is more for me, and is worth the hassle of adjusting the TR

Thanks for the responses, the more I’m thinking about it the vintage truss rod adjustment is a bit of a no go, maybe a 70s vintera and putting a tort guard on it?

I saw an awesome deal on a 70s Fender, did you want the link? Vintera that is.
Yeah that’d be great!

I've got a bit of a dilemma, I've been looking at both the Fender Player Jazz bass and also the Fender Vintera 60s Jazz bass. I'm just wondering whether people have found the Vintera to be worth the additional £250 or if I'm better going for the cheaper version?
Many thanks,
Harry

They just manage to get some bits wrong, don't they.
If you want a good 'un there are folks who will do a custom build to order.
Are there any that you would recommend?

I’ve been looking around and seen some really nice Ali Express 4005 copies, has anyone had any experience with these?

Something pointy or a bit curvy?
What sort of noise are you hoping to get out of it, what music are you playing?
What's your max spend?
My max spend is about £400 and I’m looking for something good for indie/alternative rock. I’ve just been looking and seen some Rickenbacker 4005 copies around, has anyone had any experience with any?

Different to what?
A bit out of the ordinary, not just a jazz bass or a p bass

Hi I’m looking for something a little bit different but still reliable on a budget. I’m looking for something full scale and maybe Japanese. I’m on a tight budget an I’m sort of stuck and any advice would be very much appreciated,
thanks,
Harry

I’m ready for my second bass build and want to build a 62 style jazz bass on a budget. Does anyone have any recommendations for a jazz bass kit?

I’ve recently been wondering what the best material is to use for an understring bridge mute. I’ve used sponge in the past and would like to know about any good alternatives. Is it worth buying a purpose built string mute? Or should I make a home made one.

Thanks at @Mattbass97

The B3n is starting to sound better and better😂

Thanks @dannybuoy I’ll have a think

I’m 15 and I’m looking for some advice that I can’t really get from my parents. I play in an indie band and I’m on a really tight budget and am trying to put together a decent pedalboard. I have a dark glass b3k and I’d probably like to add a preamp, compressor and possibly chorus to that with a budget of around £120. I’m not sure whether I should continue buying pedals second hand on eBay, or if my money would be better spent on a multi effects pedal such as a Zoom b3n. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Thank you for your help,
Harry.

Fender Nitro Finish Jazz Basses
in Bass Guitars
Posted
Just a short one but are there any Jazz basses that come up under £1000ish with a nitro finish, preferably in sunburst. I've seen the old classic series 60s fenders fit this criteria but are there any MIJ options or maybe even american? I was looking at the vintera 60s J bass but a nitro finish and rosewood board would be a massive plus
