I can't get my head around mini-basses. That photo just reminds me of Tufnell with a Chiquita. Each to their own but I need a bit of length on a bass.

It's a 21 fretter and that's why the bridge is forward on a standard heel pocket, Odd one.

I remember going down to London for an audition and went to the BC beforehand. They had several basses from John Entwistle's collection, Warwicks, Statii, etc . Still, lovely place dedicated to bass.

Sorry, dunno how that got there.
Gone.

Holy phuq....check the secondary soundhole. And the hack-job on the side of the neck.

Looks like it did sell, right enough!

Can't believe that Peavey sold! Did the auction not just run out?

'I wanted to make a good gigging guitar hung for long sessions across your shoulder, so I chose a wood that resonates well but doesn't cut your neck off.
The guitar head has a popular decal but is like the whole guitar unbranded and is just a PCGC creation that I built the past ....'
Here he is, wittering on with the implication that he builds guitars. This is what really irks me about that fella, rather than the tinkering/bodging. He's been called out on this in the past but seems to take no need.
The quote was taken from this auction:-

Getting our instruments set up back then meant taking them to a local, self obsessed, generally drunk, guitarist who would (over)charge and expect favours for free in the future - he never paid when I let his band rehearse in the Adventure Playground I ran - "remember when I set up your bass?". ...aaah reminiscing ain't what it was...
I ran into one of these bastards. I couldn't get my Ibby Rick intonated correctly; shop said 'mis-aligned tailpiece', which was BS, I later found out. They sent out a SE repaiman who then spent 20 minutes doing the saddles then suddenly saying that the neck was the issue. He then stripped the truss rod nut and then hammered - yes, hammered - two slots into the rod nut then fleeced me for the equivalent of £50. And he was a drunk.

For Custom Shop these days read 'Masterbuilt'.

Rolf Harris?
Got it in one. He played an old Egmond bass. Dub before I even knew what Dub was!
Nahhh....Jaco.

I was a brat in those days but that bass-sound in Everlasting Love got me hooked. Dunno who actually played that. Loved that click-bass tone in those days.
But musicians? Squire in the early '70s kicked it all off, followed by he-who-shall-not-be-named.

I knew of a boozer like that back in the '80s, bar the noise and the midden. It lost its license for the frequency of the other descriptions.
