  1. SKB 4U rack case with wheels and pull out handle. excelent condition, never really used rail to rail depth 450mm collection from WS4 or can meet within 30 mins of Walsall.
  2. There seems to be two kinds of user for valve amps, valve tone with clean headroom, or broken tube sound. A clean switch like the Orange Terror Bass would be useful to keep both sides happy? Not sure how this works in the Orange, I assume it removes a gain stage? I know the terror bass can do serious gain but something to remove any preamp breakup or make it break up sooner could be useful?
  3. Now £260 For sale I have an Orange Little Bass Thing 500w head. The amp has: 500 watts Class D power (from what I understand this is the power section from the Terror bass paired with a clean solid state preamp) Footswitchable compressor FX Loop DI out This had been my live amp for about a year and as such is showing some signs of wear, mainly small scratches to paintwork and a faint pen mark on the top. No dents to the chassis or major damage. I've tried to capture it's condition in the pictures. Otherwise the amp is in full working order and has been really reliable for all home use, rehearsals and live use. I'm happy to post for the asking price within the UK or collection from Walsall, West Midlands is more than welcome.

  5. They have a bass cab sims included. I had seen that article and knew the bass amp would be too high wattage to use in the conventional method, but wondered if line level from the line out would be strong enough for the Captor to process, which you've answered. Thanks for the help.
  6. Hi Captor owners! I've been looking at the two notes captor as a way to add cab sim to my amp's DI. Looking at the manual it looks like the input just takes speaker level signal for the captor to then pass through to the cab. Will the input work with line level from the line out of my Orange OB1-500? The amp is obviously higher wattage than the captor will take plus I use a variety of ohmage cabs depending on the venue/ which band is providing so I'm hoping I can hook up to my cab as usual and just use the line out for the captor.
  7. Ampeg SVT-4Pro with 4U rack case. Great full working condition. From Ampeg: In the world of high-performance bass amps, Ampeg’s SVT amplifiers are in a class by themselves. In true Ampeg tradition, the SVT-4 PRO offers you more power, performance and flexibility than any other bass amplifier in its class. SVT-4PRO offers an expansive palette of tonal options. The Frequency control allows you to select the center frequency for the Midrange control, giving you five distinct voicing options for the Midrange. And if that’s not enough, you can use the 9-Band Graphic EQ to fine-tune your sound—or use it to set up a footswitchable “second channel” with a volume boost for your bass solo. SVT-4PRO is designed for the player who wants SVT tone and performance (with a few modern enhancements) in a convenient, high-powered, rackmount design. With a huge diverse group of artist endorsements, including Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel/King Crimson), Cliff Williams (AC/DC), Pablo Stennett (Ziggy Marley) and far too many others to list here, the SVT-4PRO is a clear favorite among professionals. In the world of high performance bass amps, the Ampeg SVT-4PRO has what it takes to really define your sound. 1/4" and Neutrik Speakon® Outputs Input Peak LED Defeatable Optocoupler Limiters Variable Internal 24 dB/Octave Crossover Variable 0 - 7:1 Compressor RMS Power Output: 300-Watts x 2/900 (mono-bridged @ 8 Ohms) RMS Power Output: 490-Watts x 2/1200 (mono-bridged @ 4 Ohms) RMS Power Output (2 Ohms): 600-Watts x 2 Preamp: Tubes (3 x 12AX7) Power Amp: Solid State Tone Controls: 3-Band Mid Tone Control: 5-Position Graphic EQ: Yes, 9-Band Ultra Low/High Boosts: Yes Balanced Line Out: Yes x 2 Pre/Post with Level Effects Loop: Yes x 2 Preamp Out/Power Amp In: Yes x 2 Dimensions (W x H x D inches): 19 x 5.6 x 15.5 Weight: 39.5 Pounds Due to the size and weight of this, i'm only offering collection from Walsall, West Midlands, or a can travel within reason to meet at a half way point.
  8. Sold my Origin Effects Bassrig to crabman. Easy to make a deal with, great buyer and recommended. Many thanks.
  9. Hi all, I'm looking for a 4U rack case for my SVT-4Pro which is 15.5" deep. I'd like to try and avoid excess depth on the case to keep it compact. The Gator GR-4S says it has a total rackable depth of 14.75", and the lid depth is 2.5". Does anyone own one or know if the rackable depth includes the lid or is it additional meaning i'd have a total of 17.25" to work with? Thanks.
  10. Mint condition Origin Effects BASSRIG Super Vintage for sale, boxed. The best Ampeg SVT in a box i've used, with cab sim on the XLR out and additional adjustment on the amp output to fine tune to your amp/cab without affecting your DI signal. The BASSRIG Super Vintage is, quite simply, a complete vintage bass amp in a pedal. Based on the iconic Ampeg® SVT®, we have used all-analogue circuitry to recreate a complete valve amp-style signal path, along with an all-analogue cabinet simulator, giving you all the warmth, feel and drive of this classic bass rig in one small box. When the SVT® arrived on the scene in 1969, it rewrote the rulebook for purpose-built bass amplification. Thanks to its enormous power, deep bass, growling overdrive and purposeful control set, this tower of tone has remained the amp of choice for the most discerning bassists on the world’s biggest stages. With XLR and ¼” outputs, the BASSRIG Super Vintage will fit seamlessly into any signal chain, no matter how simple or complex, and our powerful Amp Out EQ tailors your sound to work with any amp, meaning you never have to compromise on tone. Collection welcome from WS4, otherwise price includes UK postage.

  13. So i'm a bunch of rehearsals and 3 live shows in with the Super Vintage. In short? I love this thing. I've always been an SVT Classic guy but i don't play anywhere that remotely justifies 300 watts of tube and a fridge and even when i ignored that and bought one, I couldn't turn it up anywhere near enough to get close to that punk rock Ampeg grind. I've been on the search for convincing SVT tone most of my bass playing life. Search over. The cab sim on the DI to FOH really makes the difference, too may times i've had a great sound coming from my cab but the DI out front was thin and clanky as no soundmen seem to like using a mic for bass these days. I'm using the effects return on an Orange Little Bass Thing to push my cab. The amp out high and low adjustment really makes a difference tuning to other cabs i'm borrowing without affecting my consistent FOH sound. Dialled with some breakup it still takes my drives very well.
  14. LD Systems MEI1000 G2 (License free) wireless IEM system with 2 receivers. Headphones not included. Also comes with carry case, rack mounting brackets and antenna extension. I bought a this off a Basschat member and also got an additional body pack receiver for the band I play in but after a few rehearsals we've found we can't get on with IEMs. All components are in a very good and full working condition but the case is scuffed from previous use. Collection from WS4 is welcome otherwise I can post to UK for £10. Not after any trades but open to cash offers.
  15. Orange Terror Bass MK2 for sale. Hybrid head with valve preamp based on the AD200B and 500w solid state power amp. Valve driven effects loop and DI out. This amp has a great driven bass tone or the clean switch allows gives you greater clean headroom while still retaining a valve tone. This has been my workhorse for about a year after selling my previous one before coming back to it again. It's never missed a beat. I'm selling because i'm now using a pedal preamp so need something with a little less of its own character or just a power amp these days. What Orange say: The Terror Bass is back and it sounds better than ever. With a valve preamp and a 500W Class D solid state power amp, the all-new Terror Bass sounds closer to our flagship AD200 than ever before. Though the circuit is completely new, the Terror Bass retains the control layout from the original amp, with the addition of a Clean switch. This reduces gain and smoothes the top-end, giving this super-simple amp an even greater range of tones than its predecessor. From clean Pop sounds through to gritty Rock crunch, the Terror Bass can do it all. There’s also a -6dB pad switch, meaning active and passive instruments are equally well catered for. The Terror bass uses a lightweight and efficient Class D power amp, with 500 watts of power into 4 Ohms and 250 Watts into 8 Ohms. Coupled with the Balanced XLR output and valve-driven FX Loop, the Terror bass is perfect for any situation, whether it’s the studio, rehearsal or a life on the road. I'm based in Walsall, West Midlands and would prefer collection where the buyer is free to try before they buy or I can meet within about 45 minutes of home for free, but I can arrange postage if required if covered by the buyer.

  19. I have a Super Vintage coming. Will report back once it arrives and I’ve had a play.
  20. Just sold my Geddy Lee Jazz to @Handsome_Chris. No time wasting, easy to arrange a meet at a mutually convenient location and a friendly bloke both when messaging and in person. Sell with confidence.
  21. No blend but it has the standard clipping controls for the high and low end. I found you can cut the low, boost the high and it maintains some cleaner low end. It’s also already voiced a little better for bass than a standard rat circuit as with all of Ryan’s pedals.
