I'll take this to 'the committee' ...i.e. the rest of the band! Thanks!

Thanks, folks! much to consider.... Six is a bit vague! Probably eight, being realistic.

Can anyone recommend a digital mixer that will record 6 or more tracks into a DAW simultaneously, at reasonable cost? Thanks in advance!

It has to be done!! Just added a Dave Hall Amps VT-1, but I'm still experimenting with what that can do.

I've accidentally ended up with a new rig this week. I've been looking for a backup for my Hiwatt DR103, but haven't found another for less than £1500! an idle look at ebay came up with a hand built point to point wired clone at a fifth of that price...... in Portugal. the seller had put up some youtube footage of the amp in action, so I took the plunge... mine was the only bid, and it turned up on Tuesday. meanwhile, Stealth had put up 'The Beast' , his Ashdown 8x10 up for sale on Basschat. I really shouldn't have, but I bought that too. Here's the old and the new n an A/B test. Probably a bit much for a 12x12 foot room!

Ashley is Andrew Bond's son. I think he's planning power supplies at some stage He reckons they're a bit overpriced at the moment- it would be interesting to see if it sells!

A prototype, I think. I've only ever seen one other, played by Mick Jones near the end of his days with The Clash (its on youtube somewhere) . then he went on to use a 'normal'(?) Electraglide with BAD. It works well, but easier to slide up the neck than down. I think they would have been more popular if the electronics ( which mine hasn't got. and never had!) had been more reliable, and if Andrew Bond hadn't died, and had been able to develop more reliable models. Mine has the stepped neck, and passive electrics - perhaps he should have stayed with that. Update. Dave Gilmour's Bond prototype sold for £37,000! Shame mine hasn't got the same provenance.( Not that I'd sell it...) Also, just ordered a spare fingerboard (just in case...) directly from Ashley Bond.

Found in a guitar shop about 10 years ago..... I had to buy it!

I'm not averse....... they have had some great players over the years. good to see the return of Paul Gray.
-
Iremember their ads... always loads of interesting stuff.. but I don't think they were too bothered where it all came from.
-
..... mine must be a rare 'straight neck' version!

Good once its tuned - a task in itself!

REQUIRED Shergold Marathon 8 string - now happily fully strung and reunited with its volume and tone knobs!Finish is badly cracked - the same as any other Shergold I've come across. Anyone know where I can get a truss rod cover? Size
