  1. Love that catch phrase. "Shake Some Action" Blue
  2. Exactly what I thought. Enjoy the evening Lozz. Blue
  3. Another member of the " Only Sober Member Of The Band Club" Welcome aboard. Blue
  4. I'm not sure I know what ticketed means, however it sounds lucrative Dave. Nice! Blue
  5. This is awesome. The assisted living market is something I hope we can tap into in 2020. These folks really appreciate live music. Blue
  6. Yeah, same $$ Hiram. These early NYE gigs are getting very popular in my neck of the woods. My band leader was telling me a lot of local bands were having problems getting booked for NYE. Blue
  7. Our 3rd public gig with our new guitarist. We're playing The Barley Pop in Germantown, 4:00-7:00. A 20 minute commute. I plan on being home by 8:30. Blue
  8. Wow! I'd love to gig in Hamburg. Blue
  9. New Years Eve is right around the corner. Tell us about what your band has booked. Blue
  10. Off topic, but the Yankee 4 hour 8-12 gig model is getting old. I can't take anything for 4 hours. Punters can't either. By the last set most folks are gone. Blue
  11. I wish we could schedule a 2 hour rehearsal. Blue
  12. "Clean Up Woman" is one of my favorites. Love the way the bass and guitar weave in and out of each other. Everything in the song works. Blue
  13. Thanks Dave, If it's a fun band to be in you've beaten 90% of the battle. I'm a guy from the 60s & 70s. I'm probably 80% enthusiasm, 10 % talent and 10% experience. 😆 Blue
  14. Cool harmonies!! I like your band. Blue
  15. I'm fussier to Dave. I can't settle for mediocre riffs or overall mediocre performance. I want my notes to be heard and I want to play them right. Yeah, I still make mistakes but not the same ones over and over Blue
  16. Gigs are so important to me. All of the new techniques and new riffs I practice at home can only be fine tuned and perfected live. Blue
  17. Nice! My ex wife lives about an hour Noth of London. If we were on speaking terms I'd refer her to one of your gigs. Lol Blue
  18. I played a 4- 7 last night with the 4 piece acoustic version of our band after a Green Bay Packers win , we're 10 and 3. We had a respectable crowd we were on point musically and several people were engaged with us for all 3 hours. No gigs for me until New Years Eve Blue
  19. Hi Dave, It's always great to hear about good gigs. I'm glad you had a good weekend. I was talking to our Band Leader about gigs last night. It's getting tough in my area. She said a lot of bands are having problems getting a New Years Eve booking. Blue
  20. I've never had anyone ask to play my bass or use my amp. Blue
  21. If I were looking I'd be sunk. My age, the type of opportunities in my area and that I'm in this to make money are barriers. This is what I'd be faced with; 1. We are Anything Goes! A hard rock/metal start up. Though still in its infancy, our band has plenty of well written songs and we're getting close to recording an EP and starting to gig. Unfortunately, our bass player decided he didn't have the time any more to be in the band. If you're someone with plenty to give when it comes to collaboration and song writing, please don't hesitate to shoot me an email. We are in our mid-20s, FYI. Our drummer also play the bass, and we've written some bass lines for some of our songs in our bass player's absence, so if you're someone who just likes to gig and play shows, by all means contact me as well! The whole package (song writing and playing shows) is highly recommended. Otherwise, we'll treat you like the lead guitarist for Green Day (who?) _______________________________________ I think "Anything Goes" "Start Up" and Infancy Stage" is fine for guys in their 20s. 66 not so much. 2. Last Ride Classic Rock and Oldies band needs a good Bass player. .Person who can practice once a week. Usually on Tuesdays 6pm to 8pm . Would like to play out once a month or more. . We have a great practice spot and excellent P.A. and trailer. . Excellent Lead guitar player and Drummer. . We practice in Pewaukee, on time have fun and get to work. This band will have plenty of offers to play out. Give me a call if interested for a try out on both sides. Thanks _____________________________________._______ This isn't so bad. I question if they can get the gigs they claim. The Pewaukee rehearsals would be an hour one way. Blue
  22. She has a deal with Ibanez and the Alice Cooper Band does shows on their own too. She's certainly fun to watch. Blue
  23. Hi Pete, I couldn't have said it better. I'll add this. Everybody doesn't know Kip Winger personally. He got the ball rolling to get her the Alice Cooper gig. Blue
  24. When a band won't present the songs to me for the audition it's a "red flag". Blue
