  1. We closed the Home Grown Music Festival tonight. We started our house set at 8:30. Our crowd dwindled too. Daryl
  2. Dingle, didn't Ringo grow up in an area called the Dingle? Daryl
  3. I'll try that. And I'll require they take the video on stage. Not from out in the crowd. If there is a crowd. Lol Daryl
  4. It's weird. I've had gigs where I'm standing right in front of my amp and I can't hear anything. Daryl
  5. I don't know why but nobody in the band or spouses or girlfriends seem to be into taking video of us. The vids I post are from punters that post some of our stuff on Facebook. Daryl
  6. It's rare for me and a real treat when I can hear my bass and vocals crystal clear in my monitor. Daryl
  7. Video might be tough. However, I'll take some pics of the event. Daryl
  8. Full Maple Road Festival Gig this coming Saturday night. We'll close the event with an 8:30 start. The Regner Silver Lining stage has always been tough for us. Daryl
  9. One of my concerns about sound checks is guys that check your monitor from the house. Shouldn't they check it on stage while the band is playing? Daryl
  10. I checked the the veiws on our last video. 12 views. We don't do much with video or pics. I wish we did. I think I'm the only member of our band with an interest in that. Daryl
  11. It's definitely one of their better covers and videos. Daryl
  12. I have no idea how long this show was in the works. However, considering how many bands played the planning and organization was top notch. I can't "nit pick" tones or individual performance. It looked like everyone had a " blast " and got more than what they paid for. Daryl
  13. I don't know a lot about metal. But I know when a band touches the hearts and souls of millions over several generations they were onto something. I did see them in 1969. Must have been their first visit to the States. I was 15 years old. They played in the gymnasium at Montclair State College in New Jersey. I'm from Montclair. Daryl
  14. Looks like it was an incredible event! Daryl
  15. We did a show with them. She brings at least 6 different costumes with her. Daryl
  16. Not the best band and not the best singer. However she can hold the crowd pretty good. Daryl
  17. After all these decades of doing shows, I'm still struggling with smiling and looking like I'm having a good time. Daryl
  18. I've been to see a few local bands recently. Mostly bands with senior members. Some are very good musically but outside of that I've seen some real snooze fests. Bands with very little interaction with the crowd and not many smiling faces on stage. Our saving grace is our lead singer who does a great job telling stories and engaging the crowd. What are you guys doing to engage your crowds? Daryl
  19. Hi Dave, I put a lot of effort into my stage sound. If we keep the stage volume low things always seem to go well. I don't get involved with FOH stuff. There's too many other things I'm concerned with. Mainly that the band isn't boring people. Actually that's the topic for my next thread. I'm glad you had a good gig. Daryl
  20. It's amazing to me how a 90s act like Alanis can still get the big gigs. Daryl
  21. Very astute commentary. Time goes on it happened and I was lucky to be there. I also get that it's the past. We can't have 1970 in 2025. I'll say one thing. I could say more but I'll only say one. In 2025 Lu Lu looks fantastic. Daryl
  22. We have Summerfest here in Milwaukee, world's largest music festival. The music industry has changed a lot since 1985. Summerfest is not the festival it used to be. How has Glastonbury changed since it started. Daryl
  23. It's extremely rude. Daryl
