  1. What? So nobody likes attractive talented young rock ladies anymore? Blue
  2. Yeah, Lizzy and her brother were just a tad late for what they do. I know when they played Summerfest here in Milwaukee last year, there was a line a mile long for their merch. Blue
  3. I would warn any new or young band to be careful about taking bar or pub gigs where business is slow and probably don't take in enough cash to pay you. Blue
  4. WOW, I'm jealous. TV interviews, radio, I've always been into that stuff. Always been a dream. Never happened for me. I'm not giving up yet. Blue
  5. Indeed, very underated. Halestorm has been out there working their butts off for years. I wish they could get to the next level. Lizzy started that band with her brother when she she was 13. Check out her scream when she brings the band into "Slave To The Grind" Blue
  6. Way too many, would love to sell a few off. Blue
  7. Congrats, I love success stories. Blue
  8. Halestorm Great vocal performance and supporting lead 🎸 riffs. Blue
  9. I saw Buddy a few weeks ago at Summerfest. Great young band, Buddy is sort of an ageless type of guy.. He had a great message about the blues and told fun stories about the blues that included the major British blues artist. Blue
  10. That would only work if the band is using a very high end sound and his signal can clearly be heard through the monitors. I've done the DI method, never worked for me. Blue
  11. We just broke even on the cost. Now everything all monies from sales is cash, 4 way equal split. Blue
  12. What happens if someone quits the band? Blue
  13. Physical sales. I would think for most it would go into a band fund account. Blue
  14. I'm just curious how other unsigned local bands manage this revenue after you have recouped the cost of the initial order Some variables might be individual contribution, performance only, song writing credit ect... Blue
  15. Where's that Thunderbird Dave? Blue
  16. I really appreciate you guys posting gig pics with your commentary. Pics are worth a thousand words. Blue
  17. Both gigs very disappointing for me. I don't think I played well. I had problems hearing myself even staying in tune. Sorry guys nothing redeeming about these gigs. Blue
  18. I'm actually listening to a lot if live Joan Jett & The Black Hearts. Great career Joan has had. She made things so simple and fun. Very Cool lady. Blue
  19. In 55 years I've never been in the habit of cleaning strings, however using alcohol wipes is something I plan on trying. Thanks Reggaebass Blue
  20. My favorite place is a small bar called Aribas. Here's why; 1. It's a great sounding room. Low ceilings and carpeted flooring. 2. The bar is right next to the spot we play in, no stage. 3. The crowd is primarily made up of live music lovers. The average age is probably 65. These folks were probably Hippies back in the 60s and love the vintage 70s based blues & rock we play. I love the place. Blue
  21. Thought it might be interesting to flip my last thread. Tell us a few stories about venues you and your band love to play and why. Blue
  22. Both of these gigs should be decent. I'll give my review Sunday Night. "THIS THURSDAY! 7/26:Maple Road will be serving up some outdoor rockin’ blues from 6pm-9pm @ Bilda’s Friess Lake Pub! Come on out for a great dinner and one of the best beer selections around. Bring a chair, tables fill up fast! New CD “Follow the Moon” is now available! 🍻🎸☀️" "THEN ON Saturday! 7/28 see Maple Road @ Washington County Fair Do Drop In Music Stage 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m"
  23. I know:) Blue
  24. When I was a kid we would go to the Filmore East to see BB King & Albert King for $5.00. Every thing is so polished now and produced with a ton of technology. Not saying that's a bad thing. Blue
