1.
I did exactly method 1 with an Aguilar AG500 and a Trace Elliot AH350SMX (the EQ knob in the SMX section of the Trace is ideal for this as it is a tilting eq so just turn to the left to boost lows and cut highs). Worked absolutely fine. The only issue I found was that, when adjusting the overall volume, it was a pain to maintain the same balance between the two amps as you have to adjust both output controls separately.
Thank you for your reply. Have you tested the tuner out of the Trace Elliot to see if it's the same level as the instrument going in or is it affected by the input knob and any of the amps EQ? I'm hoping it's just the plain unaffected signal coming from the bass that comes through the tuner out. Yeah I get that you would have to balance the output levels for each amp but again I'm fine with this as I'd be using the 2nd amp for lows and pushing other speakers. Once I found a balance I like, I'd end up just leaving it. Again, thank you!
2. Hi everyone I'm considering doing a "bi-amp" rig at some point and my choice of amps would be the Trace Elliot GP12SMX AH250/300 amps as they're my favourite amps that I've used. This set up would be for a stoner rock/drone band so the huge set up is essential (joking) Basically I'd want to run one amp with a standard EQ setting then run the other with mostly low end and cut the highs off it. All of that so far is fine to me but as I'd only be sending one signal off, I was wondering if it'd be possible to do it one of these ways... Idea 1: **Bass signal -> Input of Amp 1 with Normal EQ -> Cabinet 1 (4x12) **Tuner out from Amp 1 -> Input of Amp 2 with Low EQ -> Cabinet 2 (4x12 or ?x15) Idea 2 **Bass signal -> Input of Amp 1 with Normal EQ -> Cabinet 1 (4x12) **Effects send out from Amp 1 -> Input of Amp 2 with Low EQ -> Cabinet 2 (4x12 or ?x15) So yeah, would *Method 1* send the right impedance signal out pre EQ to the 2nd amp and would *Method 2* do the same thing? I'd preferably like to run it in Method 1 but recommendations on that would help. Thanks
3. Gah, why can't this be the PBX-N! I'd have snapped these up in an instant GLWTS though
4. If this is still around when pay day comes, I'll snap this up!
5.
Don't you start on me!
( Just imagine the smooth Dave Murray and Adrian Smith esque tones you'll get from it in whatever you want to put it in (From one Maiden tone chaser to the other!)
6.
wish it was on sale two months ago
Imagine it is 2 months ago and buy it anyway! haha

8. Hi Selling off my spare bits to put towards things I will actually use so there will be a couple of listings. Here we have a Boss NS-2 Noise Supressor pedal. It was bought for me as a gift but I don't tend to use noise gates with my rig as I play stoner rock so the more noise the better! I've tested it out and it's great for what it does, gets rid of all cycle hum and got rid of all unwanted noise. The 2nd loop in the pedal is especially handy for if you wanted to stick your Fuzz/Distortion/Drive pedals in the loop or you can use the pedal as a full kill switch. Over all, a lot of uses but it won't get used by me unfortunately so I'd rather put the money towards something I'd use. As said, this pedal is basically new and had an hour or two use at most. It's boxed as well obviously. Looking for [s]£50[/s] £45 posted for the pick up. Thanks
9. Hi Selling off my spare bits to put towards things I will actually use so there will be a couple of listings. Here we have a Dimarzio DP215FW EVO 2 bridge position hum bucker in white (F Spacing) that I bought and only used for a short while when trying to decide what pickups to use in my guitar. The pick up sounds amazing but I mainly play stoner rock so it didn't quite suit. Paid £65 inc postage but I'm looking for [s]£50[/s] £45 posted for the pick up. Thanks

11. Hey, just a quick one. I have a Morley Dual Bass wah but I've noticed that when you take your foot off the tread plate, the wah effect hangs around for a while, is there a way to stop this? Thanks

13. Hi! I have a bass that's got stupid pick up routs, 5 string (EMG 40) sized soapbar routs but it's a 4 string bass. Bit odd if you ask me but I love the bass so never selling it. Anyway, I've tried 5 or 6 different sets of pick ups in it and it's never been exactly what I wanted sound wise then I started hearing some of the Dingwall Combustions and that sound is much closer to what I want. I have Neodymium pick ups in another bass so thinking these will do the trick. My main question is, has anyone ever tried some of the Dingwall pick ups in a parallel fretted bass and have you noticed any loss in signal or anything like that? Ordering direct from Dingwall, I can get the pick ups for about £150 which is a good price. I'll then get one of their 4 way rotary pots for the bridge/both parallel/both series/neck configuration. Thanks
14. Agreed! I can't understand people who don't do wiring mods, it's just better! haha
15. Hi, I'm looking to wire one of my guitars that has an extremely hot humbucker and only one volume control up for this sort of switching. I'd basically like it to be Up: killswitch Middle: Coil split Down: full humbucker I know it'll need a 3PDT switch with On/on/on capability but if any one could help me with how to wire up the switch, that would be great! The guitar currently has a mini DPDT toggle switch for kill switch/humbucker in it but I'd like to change it to the above for more tonal variety as it's a single pick up guitar and I like to split to single coil for cleans. Thanks
