  1. My really nice Fretless Bass with a solid Alder body, Maple neck & a beautifully figured Slab Rosewood lined fingerboard, plays like the proverbial dream and sounds great with oodles of mwoarrrrr. In excellent condition with just a few light play marks. Suitable for either the seasoned Fretless player, or due to the low action and fret lines this would be excellent for a beginner or an inexpensive way to try a Fretless if you’ve always fancied one, but didn’t want to spend a lot of your Great British pounds in case Fretless is not for you. Set up really nicely with a low action all the way up the neck, a lovely rich ‘woody’ sound & the bridge pickup provides instant Jaco when required, otherwise it can be played without the Mwoarrr. Nice and light at 3.7kg or a tad over 8lbs in ‘old money’ according to my digital scales. The lines thankfully extend over the sides of the fingerboard making intonation a doddle, even for an old duffer like me. In excellent condition, with just a few play wear marks, but nothing serious. Specs……. Solid three piece? Alder Body Maple Neck Lovely Figured Rosewood Slab lined Fretless fingerboard Yamaha Soap Bar neck & bridge pickups with individual volume and Master tone control. La Bella Flats - if memory serves. 38mm nut width, so very Jazz - esque + nice and shallow. Stagg padded Gig bag included. Any questions, please give me a shout. Can post to the U.K. Mainland via Parcelforce 24 delivery & insurance via Secursus, or collection welcome & knock £25 off the price.

  2. An absolute workhorse of a Bass which would not only make a great inexpensive back up bass, but it is such an excellent sounding & playable instrument, I would be happy to use it in any situation having a really nice set up with a low action, level frets & weighing just 3.6Kg, or just a tad under 8lbs in ‘old money’ according to digital scales. Specs…. Passive Alder Body Maple Neck Rosewood Slab Fingerboard 38mm nut width, so very Jazz - esque + shallow depth. Jazz style powerful pickups Bridge Volume, Neck Volume with Master tone controls 24 Fret Double octave fretboard 34” Scale length Ti Flats fitted which have had very little use Stagg padded Gig Bag in great condition included. There are a few play wear marks, but overall it is in very good condition - please see pics. Can post to the U.K. Mainland via Parcelforce 24, or collection welcomed & knock £25 off the total price. Any questions, please give me a shout.

  4. Bought some strings from David & everything was spot on as usual. Thanks again David, very much appreciated👍👍
  5. Lovely P & that pickguard is far superior to the usual CS Jobbies❤️❤️👍👍
  6. David kindly answered my plea for a hard case for my P Bass. It was at least as good as described, really well packaged & he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thanks again David, appreciated👍👍
  7. I always thought it was the nail hole used when spraying seen on early Basses before they switched to using the ‘strip’?
  8. Plus one for the Avant Guard - closest I’ve seen to an original👍👍
  9. Mine was for my Fender Squier Mini P Bass, I couldn’t find anyone else that did them….
  10. Ah, it says he’s away until tomorrow…
  11. Check out the Guy below on eBay. Very good looking, well made and quite ‘opalescent’ - about as good as you can get without paying hundreds of your finest British pounds on an Avant Guard jobbie from France👍👍
  12. I found the Avant - Guard ones were very close to the originals. Here’s one I had on my AVRI, very ‘opalescent’ being Celuloid.
  13. Tl Flats - very little use. Can post to the U.K. Mainland in the original packaging. Gauges .043 .058 .070 .100
